Yeah, definitely prefer the "Show me, show me whatcha, show me whatcha got" vocal over the "Shoot ya with the" or whatever half-assed adlib he does now. I feel Maxim's vocal on AWOL currently is just so pointless and he's better off not even being on stage like he does for Firestarter and Run. AWOL still feels too short and unfinished to me. The hook is great and solid, but the rest of the track feels empty without a vocal. I dunno if the female vocal part is sampled or someone Liam actually brought in the studio. Maybe the track could use with more female vocals. Or Keith needs to come up with a verse or something because Maxim's adlib takes the track down a notch live. Just my opinion.

Awol - too monotonous
Awol (Edit) - too short, something is missing
I really like it but this track needs something. Maye Liam will do some changes etc. in the near future.

right now it seems he writes a tune which is around 2 or 3 minutes, gets bored of it and starts working on a new one with exactly the same scenario

Totally agree about Maxim's vocals on the track.
Also I always thought the female vocal sounded like Amanda Ghost; who did the backing vocals on Colours.

Yeah, I thought it might have been her too.
If so, maybe Liam could use more vocals from her if Keith and Maxim doesnt work out for the verse. I guess we will see if AWOL even makes it on to the album. But right now, needs more development structure-wise and solid vocal in the verse to keep the edge going throughout the track.

I got to agree about those new tracks. I think the lyrics are pointless, a child could have written them, compared to the lyrics in Firestarter, see that was lyrics! Now we have AWOL, Jetfighter and Rock-Weiler in HQ, and none of them do anything for me. Of course, it doesn't make it better, having Maxim shouting, "All my people!!!" all the time through the songs, but think I can judge through that. I guess a lot of you like the new style (2005-ish). The only things that I like since 2012, is actually Dogbite and the New Beats, hope they both turn into something.

Firestarter is probably the only 'good' song lyrcally. But I get the impression Keith didn't write all the lyrics to Firestarter, there are other people credited to that too. Breathe is great but not really a 'song' lyrically
AWOL lyrics are cool sounding but even that doesn't quite make sense. all the other stuff is just meaningless. I think when they come up with those lyrics its more about "it sounds cool" rather than "wow how poetic!"

It's almost as if they're trying these tracks, live, to get a gauge of how they actually sound and feel out in the wild

What makes you think Keef didn't write all the lyrics?

But Liam has stated they were always about big dumb lyrics
Firestarter is probably their only track that has an actual underlying personal meaning from Keith. I think Maxim and Keith's are treated more like samples for Liam to take and use instead of worrying about getting clearance from sampling other artists. The first version of AONO seemed like it was going into a more lyric-focused direction before Liam scrapped it. With tracks like BGAT, Trigger, Nuclear, Razor, etc. There was a social/political aspect to the lyrics back then before they decided to bin it all.
I still wish Maxim did his thing proper over a Prodigy track, like real full on lyrics. Something like "Killing Culture" or "My Web." It's a shame we never got a real Maxim vocal track, except on his solo stuff of course. Maxim showed he can pull off the rock style vocal track with "Survivor."
I'm fine with the silly lyrics, it doesn't bother me. I think they want to just write in your face, go wild and party electronic music without focusing some sorta political or serious message that would take away from a more positive and energetic experience.
But out of the new stuff, "Rockweiler" is my fave and the most complete sounding track. It pretty much sounds ready for release. Where "AWOL" and "Jetfighter" sound like 60% finished, "Rockweiler" sounds like 90-95% ready to go. People compare "Rockweiler" to their "Omen" style tracks. But I wasn't a huge fan of "Omen" to be honest. But I totally dig "Rockweiler." And I really hope those "New Beats/Beats #2" turns into something. The sounds on there are promising, love that guitar/synth riff and the distorted beats. Liam should give the beats a little bit more of a shuffle to make it feel more bouncy and ya can jump along.
Something tells me "Jetfighter" is gonna be tough to get on the album, unless completely reworked, due to the System Of A Down sample. That's a pretty big sample and will probably cost a bit of change on their end to get the rights. You can see with "Rockweiler" that Liam really chopped up the riff (people say it was a Rage sample) to avoid sampling issues. And he even stuck in a wobble riff in the middle of it to chop it up even more to avoid it being one full long sample. He obviously did these little chops and inserts with the riff to avoid any rights' issues, which makes me think "Rockweiler" is definitely going to be something official. I doubt we'll see "Dogbite" get an official release, unless completely reworked and I doubt they want two songs associated with the canine species lol.
I also would love Liam to take Poison Pt.2 and turn that into it's own full on track. I think it could be pretty rocking. And I love that pad sound at the end of "Beats #1" that sounded like some reworked version of the beats from "AWOL." The whole first part with the beats were nothing special, but when that ending dark sounding pad comes it... goosebumps. Love that sound Liam used. Give me the other mix of "AWOL" from Bratislava instead.

I wish Maxim did his thing too. My Web and Killing The Culture are great. I also like the lyrical version of Hellz Kitchen.
yeah the lyrics are definitely sample style and just there cause they fit the beats. i totally dig WOF even though the lyrics have no meaning they 'sound' awesome over the beat and really work
I'm baffled about AWOL version 2 man. It's so much better than the one they stayed with but whatever, that's liam.
I imagine there's plenty of tracks now fully ready for the album and Rock-weiler was one that needed to be tested and reworked based on the crowd reaction. we didn't hear most of Invaders Must Die before or until very close to when that album came out and everything on that record sounds DONE.
Poison pt 2 is my favourite sounding track out of the whole live set and I'd be gutted if that isn't worked into an album track or release of some kind. Jetfighter is banging too but like you said it doesn't look like it's gonna happen

After a polite request from the band, and after being given the OK from BK, the links to the new tunes are gone, Stick to PMs instead of posting links in here?
