Hi all!
Been to Peninsula Festival. Of course for the main event - The Prodigy. Pinhead, sorry for not hooking up! My VF dual sim did it again. I was expecting a call - divert mode, you know..... )
Here goes. I am a fan of The Prodigy for 13 years. But this last gig was enough for me. I m not saying that they are not great, but something is missing. The crowd was good, but too many crazy groupies.... I don't want to make a big thing out of it. Maybe this is natural, but something was left behind.
I was pretty impressed by NIN. Even Freestylers did a great job.
Next one - Pendulum in October. Maybe they can carry something out.
All the best,
S

i got a message man from another number, but i saw it after i entered the train, and sent one back on your number.but the next day my batterry died so....that's about it.
i wasn't too dissapointed about the gig.the only thing i dont like that he runs all his songs on his laptops.the bits and pieces he does on his virus are too little to matter.it just makes the show sound like playback.the only track that gave me a real live experience was breathe.maybe a couple others, but the rest were just dead.world's on fire i found out it's pretty shitty live,i don't know were all the excitement for the track comes from, the same with run,and a little with warriors dance, like i said because of the playback, linear thing.no energy no nothing.they didn't get a good crowd reception either on those tracks, except the original excitement when they started.
from what i remember omen was a real bomb, everyone was jumping and singing all the way, breathe too, smbu, out of space.diesel power still packs a punch, everyone was happy for it.
the rest pretty much ordinary, maybe it was the sound too,but it's sad the days he triggered the samples from his roland and played whith them are over.now all his synths on stage are just for show mostly and to keep him buzy while he beeps and ads some squeakes over the playback track.
i enjoyed more the gigs in sibiu and cokelive 2 years ago, they sounded more alive
