Fucking right!
Can't believe there is pretty much zero audio or video for this tune. We might never hear it again
if thats the case how does anyone know how good it really is? ive seen some footage of the song and it was much better when it was unstoppable and even then it was repetitive and not that great, it doesnt mean much but the name of the tune is naff, its a drug, ohh i think the last huge mistake prodigy made was singing about rohypnol, needless use of an illegal drug. really do not get the fuss about this track, its because its hardly been heard its become a myth of sorts, and now a fucking poll about it! jeez
Because I saw it one of the last times they played it at T in the park a year ago today. It had come on a lot and sounded really dark, I#m struggling to remember it actually I just remember thinking at the end of the show it was in my top 3 tunes of the night, it was that good.
sorry for overkill on quotes, what fifer says is true, infact when i was at T it was my favourite played, and if the competition at the time was Warriors Dance and Worlds on Fire and Beat 55 (may this tune not be forgotten)
mescaline kicks ass it would have been the roughest and toughest track on the album, but i feel liam had to pick between piranha and mescaline on the album and he chose piranha but i'd have picked mescaline
He didn't have to pick though, he could've easily made it a 12 track album and snuck it inbetween Worlds On Fire and Piranha. I think the reason it didn't make it is because it sounds a bit too different from the rest of IMD. It's not so retro, it's more of a dirty dark underground tune. It would have been perfect for Lost Beats EP or a B-side though...
