There's no reason why it would be any different.

Exact the same setlist as Lyon. Venue was made smaller cos it wasn't sold out at all

Little review of the gig in Lille:

Arrived 20 minutes before the start of the gig. Could get to the front in 2 minutes.
The place had no buzz at all, no anticipation allthough they were playing some neat oldskool breakbeat.
They made the venue smaller at the sides and one layer of the balcony was shut down by black curtains.
I estimate that there was a small 5000 people in this 7000 capacity venue.

Lights went down and finally the crowd started to show signs of being actual lifeforms.
The same intro which has been played since 2007 kicks in followed by this long pause with the band onstage.
Especially Maxim seemed to be in a very silent mood, barely speaking to the crowd (throughout the whole gig)
Keith looked way more active than the youtube vids I saw from previous gigs.

Melody of breathe kicks in but barely hearable. The beat kicks in agressively and the moshpit has started. You could clearly tell that young girls and boring couples in the front were shocked and scared to be in the middle of this chaos. I always love to see that and push them even more in the moshpit.

Nasty starts with the countdown intro but once again barely hearable and no one was counting along(hence the low volume) The riff once again was barely hearable but the crowd went bonkers immediately.
Crazy crowd response with people falling over, I lost my stretchpiercing during this tune.

I'm not gonna describe each track but it was clear to tell that WOD and GYFO had the worst reactions.
Take me to the hospital was insane, the reaction was really violent.
Medicine fill had a really cool reaction, felt more like a 90's rave party. No moshing at all, just people dancing.

Overall mixed feelings with this gig...I had the impression that the crowd was making this gig a party instead of the prodigy.
Even with a new album, the performance already felt a bit generic with a setlist that is just a rehash of their old setlist.
Really missed some spontanious interaction.

They barely had any frontlight which made it very difficult to see them clearly and they used way too much smoke making it hard to breathe.

Nothing beats the feeling though of being amongst thousands of people going crazy on this beats you love to death.

less and less enthusiasm I see, worries me a bit. but on the other hand it is their fault actually, they play way too much songs from the new album that isn't that much of a hit (not talkin' 'bout the quality), thus to keep the audience interested and engaged I think they could play more classics and a max of 5 from the new one. dunno, as much as I love Wall Of Death, maybe it really isn't "suited for gigs".

the sad part is that we all can speculate and think of some solutions to better the situation, come up with ideas and hope that the band will somehow do somethin' mindblowin' and that magic will happen, but the most propable future is that they'll continue on with this setlist for the next few years making no significant changes and our hopes and dreams'll get covered in shit and piss. but oh well, it's always good to have these hopes and dreams

Whatever they change about the show doesn't change the problem with all modern gigs: too many people stood still with phones out when they should really be going nuts and dancing like we used to do.

As grateful as I am to get YouTube footage now and then IT ONLY NEEDS ONE OF YOU GUYS, WE DONT NEED 3000 MORE RECORDINGS OF FIRESTARTER UPLOADED TO THE TUBE.

I actually would not mind if there was a massive crackdown on use of phones/vids at gigs. Those stupid flags at festivals too.

A section before the first chorus is missing and the "breather part" is shorter.

I like the edit of Breathe, way more direct.

They're still the best band in the world when I look back at the gig. They're still this warmachine that runs over the crowd leaving them breathless and exhausted.

I saw them live for the 39th time and still I get shivers from hearing new material and going crazy to the new beats.
They just aren't that big anymore, not able to sell out a relatively small venue in a big european country close to the belgian border.
It makes me anxious in a way to see one of the few remaining big acts of the 90's losing a bit of their fanbase. Hope they win alot of new kids with the summerfestivals.

I guess it's normal in times of fakeness, selfies, hipster bullshit, social media, edm, big brother mentality,...that a band with their kind of attitude and realness gets les attention than they used to get.
