They've played in Dublin a few times in the last 2-3 years, they've always dropped a few Prodigy tunes in the set. Out of Space is not the only one.
I've been there when they dropped G-Force, Charly and EITP.

It is a bit funny Mark spinning Prodigy, but everytime we talk he never makes any sort of implications he dislikes Liam or The Prodigy.

The vocals over top are shocking. Plus I thought there was beef between Altern8 and The Prodigy.
And what's his obsession with Bloc Party?

Typical MCing really.
As for the 'Bloc Party' thing. As the event is called Bloc Weekend, what he said was "'Bloc (weekend)' party-people".. nothing to do with the band.
What really amuses me is that it's held at Butlin's. Last time I was there I was about 13 years old and most of the entertainment was some shite cabaret acts.

Don't agree at all. Their 'Full On Mask Experience' album (which lists The Prodigy under the 'Respect' credits) is excellent. The Prodigy vs Altern 8 'battle' is the ultimate mountain out of a molehill non-story.
Keith dressed up as a typical stereotypical raver of the time in the 'Out Of Space' video. Supposedly (but no quotes exist to back it up) Altern 8 take 'offence' at this (highly unlikely as they weren't exactly serious with their chemical warfare suits and dust masks) and wear T-shirts with "the dodgy experience" in their 'Brutal-8-e' video. Mr Nex from Altern 8 described it as "Light hearted fun".

Just a question.. how old are you? If you don't remember them the first time round, you're obviously gonna say that.
FYI, Altern8 were one of the first rave band that made it big. Their first release was 'Still Life' in late 1989 as Nexus 21, so that hardly makes them bandwagon jumpers, does it?
Also how many rave bands can you name (Prodigy aside) that are still playing live, let alone still together, nearly 20 years later? You need to open your mind a bit and listen to some more of their stuff before you pass judgment so easily, and I don't mean just the well known stuff like Activ-8.

Atleast half of the big rave producers are still around... question is can you find them?
