First of all travelling to Interlaken was quite an experience for itself. I had to change train in Basel and from that on pure mayhem was going on in the coaches, crowded with festival folks with all their luggage and stuff. The guy opposite me was playing his guitar all the way ( around 2 hours ) and singing loudly. He was really good, so it was fun. Especially people in my coach started smoking weed ( windows couldn’t be opened… ) , so me was fucking sick/high arriving at the final destination and took me ages finding my hotel. Nice festival, beautiful location. Tho, right before the Prodigy, during the change over break, there was this sudden total power blackout on the main stage. Pitch-black for around 20 minutes. Great performance by the guys, partly crowd was a bit lame, meh. No sit-down during SMBU, dunno. Maybe it was coz, before Warrior’s Dance Maxim giving his instructions ( doing a circle etc. ) to the crowd and some guys behind me shouting ‘ Fuck u, we gonna die down here !!! ‘ Maxims face/reaction was something like WTF !? Me guess, some people really don’t have a fucking clue, what to expect at a Prodigy gig. BTW – usual setlist. Other festival-highlights for me : Rammstein, Juliette Lewis, Sepultura, Beatsteaks, Danko Jones, Coheed & Cambria, The Hives. Luckily i had the chance to meet Juliette Lewis on the sunday. |
