So I was able to grab meself one tiny ticket for the Amsterdam gig. I have been fortunate enough to see The Prodigy live 10 times, and looking forward to #11!

However, it would be nice to create some kind of meet up with new people from either Holland or overseas. I met up with Neko herself at Lowlands '05 and thought it would be cool to set something like that up again. I met Arie some years ago as well, think that too was HMH.

Anyway, who's going?

Just got back from this gig...my 11th (eleventh!) Prodigy concert.

Had a lot of fun on my own ;)

I must say that Keith looks not as 'present' as he used to. And I was surprised that he did the full-length Firestarter..

Poison Chapter 2 dropped like a bomb. The bass drilled right through the Heineken Music Hall, shattering bass drop.

I find that the new songs don't work too well live. But all in all this was a nice experience.

Well, The Day is just drowning in bass and beats, same as Wall of Death. Roadbloxx is a bit tame and Nasty..hmmmm.

Rok-Weiler is my fav live track out of the new ones though, I'll post a video I did soon.

Everybody who said the new tunes are for the liveshow.....haha
The new songs were boring live

Oh and IMD is the most underrated album of all.
Saw them for the 8th time btw today

Tracklist from tonight?

The setlist was something like:

Breathe
Nasty
Omen
Wild Frontier
Roadblox
Firestarter
Poison
The Day Is My Enemy
Rok-Weiler
Voodoo people
Get Your Fight On
Run With The Wolves
Invaders Must Die
Smack My Bitch Up
Wall of Death

Encore:
Their Law
Take Me To The Hospital

Was my 16th time seeing them live since 1998 and bit of mixed feelings after the show, I had a great time but I've seen them do better. Same as with the album it felt like something was missing in the new tracks, good thing was that some of the sounds I don't like in the new tracks were now drowned in the beats :) Was suprised by Nasty, don't like that track but live it actually sounded pretty cool live, raw and aggressive. It had a nice intro with a voice counting from 10 to 0 and then a voice saying 'And then there were none' sounded like something out of Star Wars. I liked Wild Frontier, already like it as an album track with its frantic beats (and frantic lights live) and actually some good lyrics, Roadblox was really nothing special, people did not know if they should dance, mosh or just watch same with GYFO and especially Wall of Death. Only halfway people were getting into them, espescially WOD was weak which kinda surprised me. Ending beats of Rok-Weiler are cool but to short. TDIME was really one of my highlights of the gig, those beats kicked so insanely hard, loved it! Already an album favorite but now also a live favorite, sick sick beats with those added drums. All in all most of the new tracks seem to be missing something to stand out and as somebody already mentioned they also don't bring something extra live, what a difference it was when TMTTH kicked in that track just kills it live. Will be interesting to see if any of the new tracks will get changed like was done with Invaders.

Another highlight was Poison part 2, sounded better than any of the new tracks (except for TDIME) it was really insane how hard part 2 dropped. have heard it a coupe times live now but this time it really blew me and looking at the reaction actually the whole crowd away. Pitty that they did not play Rebel Radio and Destroy, was looking forward to hearing those live.

Nothing special with the older tracks. I'm getting a bit bored with Firestarter, have just heard it to many times. Maybe Liam should make some sort of mini mix of a coupe of older tracks so fans get to hear some more older tracks without having to play them in full. I liked how Leo and Rob were mixed in, never heard them this clear in the mix and really brought something extra. Btw they played from 21:15 till 22:45 but felt shorter maybe because the set now has so many fast paced songs. Could have added an Experience track to end the gig.

Thanks for the info guys.
You all have seen them a lot of times so I believe you know your stuff.
It's the first show on the tour so lets hope they mix up the tracklist and maybe do someting to the new tracks.

GYFO needs to be replaced by Rebel Radio or Destroy.

The set could use an Experience track or Rhythem of Life.

Experience: 0
MFTJG: 3
TFOTL: 3
AONO: 0
IMD: 4
TDIMY: 7

Poison chapter 2 needs to get some sort of release!

Not suprised wall of death tanked. It has no flow in the beats.

Funny how omen and tmtth got more reaction than breathe and firestarter even.

Yeah but not wall of death. And have they been to the prodigy before? Sure this gig was amazing compared to any other band.

With omen, run, hospital and invaders the place errupted. Same with smbu and their law

I have to agree with Mouzzz on this one. I liked the show but wasn't blown away as, for example, the first Invaders gig I saw. Nasty worked surprisingly well and was one of the highlights for me. The Day Is My Enemy, Rok-Weiler and Roadblox work fine too. For some reason Get Your Fight On didn't get a massive, if any, responsive. I do like that one on the LP but it isn't the live banger I hoped it would be. Wall Of Death is totally flat live, and unless something changes it's really forgettable for me. Wild Frontier is one of my favorite tunes of the LP but live it's not more than "ok", the intro is nice and the first minute too then it's already too repetitive. They are probably still road testing and I hope to hear some Destroy and Rebel Radio tomorrow in Hannover.
