see the thing is, there not losing money from us wolfen, most of us have baught the album, its those cunts on torrent sites, the only thing we'd do is play these tunes to freinds and get some of them into it, which then they'd go ahead and buy the album if they liked it along with the rest of their albums, were a good promotion group us bk'rs !

Absolutely mate. It's not the people here, it's the people who have leaked the album. The people who have posted download links to it and spread it over the newsgroups. There are, unfortunately, elements of that however, that have seeped into this site. People that do seem to be using it as a means of spreading the album before the official release. There are still a core of 'hardcore' fans here that respect and fully support the band, but there is also a smattering of 'invaders' (excuse the pun...........) who have been looking for leaks of the album be it via PM, link etc. These are the people that need to fuck right off.

The way I see it is, its an album not some frickin seventh wonder of the world ( well it comes close )

People that wont buy it no matter what, will download it so no loss...fuck them!!

For the record Ive downloaded the leak tonite, have already pre ordered the album, paid hundreds of pounds to see them live 14 times, been into them since 91 so I aint a true fan for downloadin for my listenin, no one else......Yeah rite then!!!

You've been to see them 14 times, good; you've pre-ordered the album, well done; you've been into them since '91, join the club, you've downloaded the album this evening, helping to keep a link active, not having it, sorry. That's going to stay exclusively with you is it? You're not going to burn that off onto disc for a mate or two? If not you're to be commended (ish.......) but there are a shit load of people who won't. There are people undecided as to whether to buy the album who simply aren't going to spend the dollars on it if they are given it/can download it for nothing. The band you've been into since the early 90's have started a record label, branched out on their own and are relying on income from this record to fund and sign acts in the future and you're supporting a means to bypassing that process? That, in my mind, is not the behaviour of a true fan.

I'm gagging to hear this album and with a little google shenannigans I could, by all accounts, have it this evening - but I won't. It's the principle of the matter. Be patient, wait the few days extra, and enjoy it when it arrives in the post/ on the record store's shelves.

I can agree with what your saying and do see the downside that the internet world has created but at the end of the day its all about choice.

Believe me tho, its on my Ipod and will be played non stop until release then when my 'real' copy comes in the post I will delete the download version and replace with the cd.

Also, I wont be rippin it, burnin it to disc or handing it out so I hope that helps (ish)

Hey i'm one of the good guys! Not meaning to directly disrespect anyone, and I also empathise with the (hic) , i'm just giving my opinion. If you want to download then fine, do whatever you're happy with. Personally, i'm not happy with the downloading issue. They're all rich, they've made a shitload of money off the previous four albums/god knows how many live dates and tours but this is a landmark album for them. The revenue that they gain from this will have a knock on into future projects related to Ragged Flag, TMTTH and any acts that fall under those banners. The more money they lose from downloads, the less abillity they will have to sign, promote and release new music. (christ, i'm starting to sound like the head of EM - fucking - I). To me, as a long term fan, that's important and i'll do what I can to avoid comprimising that in any way - and that involves not downloading the new album for free.

The links are, apparently, there for all. If you want to click them and get IMD for free then you go for it, but i'm not into that. It seems, to me, like copping out on the attitude and fire of a band I love.

Yeah fair do's! I can totally understand the urge to get the album asap. The hype has been massive and the excitement is greater than any previous Prodigy album. The internet age makes it a reality unfortunately, everything from music to sex, from shopping to monkeys sniffing their fingers is freely available (I do like the monkeys to be fair, they're well funny) (ish............... ). I'll sit here in my self contained, mildly smug, little world and patiently twiddle my thumbs until the album comes out.

It's the 21st century and artists no longer make big money on CDs. The real money comes from merch, tours, sampling rights (ie- using a song for a commercial), digital downloads, etc.
