Very true. I've seen quite a few on eBay purporting to be the real thing, but when you ask the seller 'Can you tell me what's written in the run out part of the record?' they always stay very quiet or tell you the wrong thing. I so wish XL had made the label and sleeve different. Would have stopped all the confusion and scammers.

a simple but great idea just have come to my mind: the large X and L letters should have been gold instead of the original gray (for the 15 years you know)

I'd say the real problem was with the catalogue number. Wonder how many people thought they were buying a piece of history and paid way over the odds?

Catalogue number is different, one is XLT-17 and the other is XLXV 1501, and you can see it on the label, you only have to ask the seller for a pic to see if it's the old one or the re-issue.

I know that, you know that. But I bet quite a few people didn't. And I bet a few more just saw it on the 'bay for a tenner and thought 'ZOMG!! WHAT EVIL LURKS FOR LESS THAN BOOK PRICE!!' and bought it without asking. And of course the seller wasn't going to say anything in case it cost him the sale.
Either way, a different label or sleeve would have been better.

Was it the one above or the Techno Party version?

Cos that's worth a fraction in comparison.

David Starter, I am curious to know what makes you decide to sell your rarities?

I still think it is worth much more, but You can't deny it was sold that cheap, sorry.
Good luck in selling this, I'm not interested anyway.
