It would also be good to have a database of all known releases, not just promos. Discogs is a good start, but we need something better. Maybe with marketplace and ability to manage our own collection.

Thats a good idea, not just for releases, Prodigy could have a wiki combining regular/tour/release info.

Something slighty different now, but I was on a forum about Grand Theft Auto a year or 2 ago and they have a wiki as well.. it's in dutch and english and it's called 'wikigta'. Here's the english version of it :

It's the largest wiki (apart from wikipedia of course) I know. It has almost everything, if not everything, known of the game... i've always been interested in that website and it's used by a lot of people that play the game. If we could manage something like that about the prodigy.. oh god that'd be wicked !

seems like a good idea. a section on BK forum should be created to discuss the pedia content (new add that). Mods of the wiki should only be a few and trusted persons so the info on the wiki should be accurate. Also creating a massive cd/lp/promo whatever database of prodigy related stuff should be cool, but a watermark on the jpegs is crucial, so those shitty ebayers of CDRs promos dont get proper images for their schemes.

But to begin with, i will allow anyone to become a member and add content in order to get it started. When it reaches a certain volume (or enough users sabotages every article by writing "penis" everywhere) it would make sense to restrict editing permissions to ensure a level of quality in the articles.

Yesyesyes.. we're off ! joined as well.. althought i'd let the writing over to the top members... i want to do whatever they ask me related to the wiki, but writing things that aren't true is the last thing i want to do.

maybe replace this to a new section... it's not about rare prodigy items anymore, is it ?
