A lot of good things happened in Prodigy land during these years, be it Trigger, Nuclear, BGAT or the infamous web loops. If Liam didn't scrap his initial idea of AONO, what would have been on there and what might? There'd probably be: - AONO title track (which no one knows anything about) - Trigger https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o68u9i6SnUA - Nuclear https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sd-wqFiQWLs - BGAT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyAvFGfeZU4 - Vacation - Dust Yoself - The Gun / Guns / Gun Reprise https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7n1CudFn38 Maybe also: - Early Memphis Bells version (see AONO demo mix) - What We Want / We Do What The Fuck We Want https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVsw876Lnns - Back 2 Skool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9xroFwi7Hg - Razor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMlkp7SmKXg - Little Goblin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cpy-4rzcqs - Some of these other fills (Jaws / Benny Blanco etc.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmq6zK2oqJU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42lP1bVx0JU - Proper tracks made of the web loops Not much on YT here, just some fan made glueing together of one of the loops: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ie7Q6E5eGcw And the closest thing to AONO v1 in one piece is the AONO demo mix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ux69hFrQTig - Warning - actually written and played after the actual AONO, but fuck it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGFzTa4yIFQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMYstnKi63o Warning Re-do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sG9xwZSeB6c Further speculation welcome. If anyone has better examples of the tracks - please post. |

As I already written in the other topic, I'm pretty sure that BGAT wouldn't be on it. Is "What we want" "We do what the fuck we want"? |

I insist, I think there's a short snippet of AONO track in a hidden section of the 2005 dvd mate but maybe I'm talking bollocks. Ekko, I usually agree with you since we are from the same generation (I remember sending you a pm back in 2001, kotta's site, a finnish fan I think) and you have to admit that Liam's got lost in the long period from 1997 to 2004, seven years were way too much and the magic was gone, anyway he's made some good tunes, a few ones are "very" good indeed, but the 91-97 period is just gold, epic, magical. Having said this, BGAT is mediocre, Trigger was great, Nuclear was in a similar vein to Fuel My Fire (I'd have binned that track and use another one) and Back To School is awesome (I listened to it in Madrid in November 2004)...but isn't it ended somehow abruptly? |

I know, but it was written between when the album was finished writing and when it was released. it was played at the first ever show of the AONO tour, in Athens. technically, it was still between the releases of FotL and AONO |

Great, thank you guys. jonyintheplace wrote: Ekko, I usually agree with you since we are from the same generation (I remember sending you a pm back in 2001, kotta's site, a finnish fan I think) and you have to admit that Liam's got lost in the long period from 1997 to 2004, seven years were way too much and the magic was gone, anyway he's made some good tunes, a few ones are "very" good indeed, but the 91-97 period is just gold, epic, magical.
I do agree, something changed after '97 (-I actually count Dirtchamber Sessions as part of the old skool Prodigy too, so after '99, actually-) and things declined (for me, personally). I didn't like any of the (more or less) finished tracks back then. These days I do like BGAT, cos' it's actually not bad, just a lukewarm attempt to further the FOTL sound. In that respect it's not good, yeah. That said, I consider these web loops to be the best work he did after the Dirtchamber Sessions. It's the old Liam at work in these things, and I'm truly sad we'll never hear something more come out of them. Some of them were just fantastic and would have made excellent Prodigy tracks. |

This is my topic! I'm a huge fan of the 2002 period, just look at my nick name. I'm a serious lover of these 2 tracks. One of the best Prodigy tracks ever. Funnily, when I heard them first, I hated them. :D I thought about Trigger: what a boring, repetitive, sensless FOTL copycat, and Nuclear just a Fuel my fire copycat. And then, they are banging to me. I remember the sadness when Liam binned them and the webloops. I still love AONO, it's my fav Prodigy album, but it should have been much better with the early V1 sounding. And the biggest shame that Liam always write his best tracks to play in concerts and then not included on albums: Trigger, Nuclear, Warning. Shame. |

Quote: I love first warning version http://youtube.com/watch?v=wMYstnKi63o And all variations of Warning in Smokin' Aces movie. Oh man, how you're right! I think it is one of the best prodigy tracks so far, not the best one, but one of the best. I like First Warning, but it's nothing compared to the first version. Then I also have to say and I have nothing against jonyintheplace, but i really don't get people who hate keith as vocalist. I mean, he's an important part of the prodigy, if you consider that he does the lead vocals on what, in my opinion, is the best track ever done (firestarter) and on so many prodigy songs: Serial thrill, fuel my fire, lead vocals on breathe, colors, hot ride passenger mix, run (about which i'm not a great fun), take me to the hospital (main vocals), BGAT. You want more? I mean, this is history. Anyway, as always, just tastes and considerations. |

I don't hate Keith (his Firestarer performance changed the history of the band) but I'm more into Rip Up The Sound System, Pandemonium, Scienide, Religion Prodigy Trance U Down Remix...that's my fav Prodigy |

I just read that there was another Juliette Lewis track, Good Morning, and it was a punk rock song. I want to hear it! I like Hotride, but the melody is not so good. El batori's melody is so much better! |

I know, this is why I clarified it was not against you, but I read, if I'm not wrong in the Nasty topic, some people and not few, which said that hate Keith on some trax or just that they don't like it. |
