Why should anyone here want a band to take over The Prodigy's mantle?
Seriously???
Let The Prodigy be unique and let no one copy them or try to emulate them. Its obvious so far that Pendulum/Hadouken!/Klaxons et al are rubbish in comparison.
I hope in 20 years time there won't be a band that sound close to The Prodigy.

Sums up my thoughts exactly. I don't mind alternatives to the prodge, but not replacements.

I thought D.O.G. Collective had a decent chance.

That video.
I'm imagining that track is pretty much like the demos Liam binned during the 1999-2004 'post-Fat-of-the- Land-Baby's-got-a-Writer's-Block'-period.

Nah, the tunes from that period were much better - stuff like Trigger and Nuclear - better than half of AONO.

lol @ some of these comments.. there will only ever be one band like our beloved Prodigy.
People can try to emulate or try to innovate further on the bands musical style but it's all about the story from start to finish. Since day one - to the present - to whenever they decide to call it a day.
Like they say themselves.. its all about the energy, the live gigs, the history of how they came to be and the way they changed dance music forever. How the fuck can anyone emulate / inherit that?
Prodigy is one of those unique things I feel that I'm so lucky to have experienced and had in my life.
As for Ace being a musician? haha I'm sure he probably will but he's half Appleton so his talent will be clouded.
over-n-out
