I dont know if theres ever been a discussion about this but its pretty clear to me that The Prodigy community is divided into 3 pieces:
-Those that prefer the more industrial, guitar and vocal-driven tracks, the BGAT lovers,
-those that prefer the old skool tracks with ravey synths, cheesy samples etc, the Take Me To The Hospital lovers,
-and those who enjoy the electro, dirty techno-ey side of the prodigy, the Girls lovers.
It comes across that way to me.
I personally find that i listen to different albums of the prodigy on a day to day basis, i enjoy a mixture of all their styles and it depends what mood im in.
Today im choosing Omen, i like the chorus and vocals..i just hope theyre in the studio version.

i don't wanna seem repeated, but i like all these styles, for me it's not about the style of a track, but about the quality, infact i continue to hate invaders must die which for me continue to be a shit tune, but for the rest i can't say nothing else against.

Omen is sweet as nut, don't get me wrong, but TMTTH sounds fucking superb! I can see why they want Omen as a single, it attempts to please both the hardcore (old-school synths and beats) + the mainstream (sing along chorus) and in my opinion it succeeds! But as a raw Prodigy track TMTTH sounds outstanding.

These two tracks differ sooo much from each other it's hard to pick the best one out... both amazing tracks live!
-30 secs later-
I'm going for Take Me To The Hospital.
It was the last track played live this year and it certainly shows what we can expect next year, old skool samples and well loved melodies.
I guess that's the shit I've been waiting for on the new record, and well fuck I like it.

I came to be interested in Prodigy being in that third part, and wasn't into the 2nd part too much. but I don't feel the new stuff sounds old at all
I don't have a preference. all the new stuff is exciting me, the least exciting one being IMD, maybe because we already have the studio version and we can't imagine it being better from what it is

I love both tracks, but it has to be Take Me To The Hospital for me. Love everything about it, the beat, the synths, the sample, the whole vibe. Omen is still a decent track well worthy of being a single though.

Voted for "omen"...
But i like "take me to the hospital" too.
It's sounds like a combination of "out of space" and "bgat" also that solo synth melody at the end was taken from "nuclear" (liam played this part in some lives).

from beatportal.com
"New Prodigy single: ‘Omen’ pencilled for early 2009
The album ‘Invaders Must Die’ is coming March 2nd.
There will be two versions – a normal CD and a double CD with bonus tracks.
The Prodigy’s third album was one of the fastest selling of all time but the fourth wasn’t marketed properly and didn’t shift nearly so well.
It will surely be a victory for dance music, then, in the eyes of electronic punks everywhere, to see The Prodigy hijack the pop charts once more with this anarchic album.
For those who missed the free Prodigy single ‘Invaders Must Die’ (which you can’t download anymore until the album of the same name drops), console yourself with this video of ‘Omen’.
Oh, and has anyone noticed how hugely influenced The Prodigy’s new sound is by Pendulum – the world’s top-selling drum & bass group? "
nothing we havent heard before obviously, just thought it was worth posting
