Morning all Ive been reading up and wanted to seek your expert advice please as I’m still not 100%. Original vinyl pressings -Am I correct that the only real way to identify original presses is that they have some kind of engraving (etched matrices) on the vinyl overrun (the middle part before the centre sticker)? Eg The original “What Evil Lurks” has “THE EXCHANGE” engraved, FOTL A1 AND C1 has “MIKES – THE EXCHANGE DAMONT” B1 has “MIKES THE EXCHANGE DAMONT” D1 has “DAMONT MIKES THE EXCHANGE” – Ive also read that the original FOTL has the album name on the spine of the cover, is this true? Is there any other way of identifying originals? Does anyone have a list of all vinyl's with the etchings? Thanks for your help |

Discogs usually has all the details of Run-out Etchings, barcodes, photos and other notable identifiers: - https://www.discogs.com/artist/66852-The-Prodigy 'What Evil Lurks' https://www.discogs.com/The-Prodigy-Wha ... lease/7740 Promo https://www.discogs.com/The-Prodigy-Wha ... se/1198116 'The Fat Of The Land' https://www.discogs.com/Prodigy-The-Fat ... ease/26194 |
