i pretty much rely on these forums to keep track of the happenings in Prodigyland. What do you think keeps the prodigy from touring in the U.S? is it album promotion, public indifference, george bush? .........be as detailed as you like BKers, but just be honest.

Whaaa? They toured in 2006! I went to the DC gig and it ROCKED! And from what I read, they fuckin loved it, too.
It is expensive for bands to tour the U.S. though. That's what keeps the Chems and Underworld away most of the time. They have large screens to power, and they literally don't make profit here.
Prodigy will be back once the new album hits, though. I guarantee it.

Just for you !
I really think that the majority of the American soil is filled with hip hop and r&b heads, but I could be wrong!

hopefully with the new label they will get more exposure in the u.s. and play more gigs...i think prodigy has been a more euro-centric band...i think it is normal to play more gigs where you are from

Time and effort. The UK is probably about the same size as Florida. They can go on tour in the UK and cover all the major cities in two weeks. They will also more than likely sell out every gig. To tour the major cities in the USA would take months. That's a lot of time away from home, family and friends. They don't need the money. They prefer to do 'hit and run' gigs. In and out. They tend to only do one or two gigs in each country when they tour Europe.

Man they did a shit load of gigs back here in the early days of the their law tour... We had our spoils :p. Fair enough there was only 1 gig in Scotland but the rest of the venues wern't exactly far away. We all just too lazy or too broke too go too them!
