It represents the angst of the yout when the parties were being closed down by the authorities, possibly inspired by Munch's "The Scream" (just my opinion) |

my girlfriend is a sculptor and she says that it could be a plaster mask. plaster is applied to someone's face, and when it dries you airbrush it |

I saw the real one they used for the cover photoshoot once, in Forbidden Planet (a scifi collector/toy shop) in London about 10 years ago. (No, it wasn't for sale..!). It's smaller than you'd think, only about 8 inches square and looks a lot worse in real life, you could see rough marks all over it where it'd been drybrushed with silver paint. I still wish I'd had my camera with me then... The square ones sOren's talking about are made of vacuum formed plastic and were displayed in record shops on the walls. You occasionally see them on eBay, and they sell for about £30-40. They're printed with a carbon fibre effect to make the surface look silvery. |

And do you think it would be still in the shop right now? I am in London next week, would be good to see it. |
