1. Invaders Must Die:
I'm still convinced Liam was somehow encouraged to produce and release this track in order to cultivate interest from the youngsters who are all about Pendulum and this other Nurave stuff thats out at the moment.....that being said, I still think this is a weak track, and undeserving as the OPENER.....who knows, maybe in 5 years time I will love it, but currently I still don't like it.

2. Omen:
Fucking kick ass....The boys are back. Its a real anthem, I am still a little put off the the use of the theremin to play up that retro sci-fi feel.....but the song and melody just rip it. Keith and Maxim's vocals are rock solid. Theres something about this track that reminds me of a post-nuclear Out of Space....or maybe post-FOTL......

3. Thunder:
Not gonna waste too much time on this...basically, its truely one of the best songs i've ever heard....EVER.....gets my blood boiling instantly....it encapsulates my love for Prodigy music....Electronic music in general.....it's like FIGHT CLUB in my ears.

4. Colours:
Immediately reminds me of Memphis Bells. I love how fast the beats are, and that nintendo-melody really speaks to me....A great example of what I think the AONO album COULD have potentially been.....its all evil grins and waste lain to the dancefloor.

5. Take Me To The Hospital:
An instant Prodigy classic....every angle is covered. The beats are so dangerous, this is the shit that repeats in my head when I'm working out....really gets you buzzing....Its such a sinister track, that rave-stab synth coupled with the pitched up reggae sample sounds reminiscent of FIRE.....the build at the end with the high-pitch synth melody is HUGE, goddamn epic.....

6. Warriors Dance:
Okay, I love this track....but I had a feeling from when I heard it on the live youtube clip that it might not translate as rough on cd.....I guess I listened to that youtube clip so much, I'm still trying to retune my head to this recorded version.....I really think it will grow on me the more I listen to it. The monkey Woop sounded better to me on the live version without the 'gap'...I preferred the uninterrupted whoop myself.....all in all it fucking rules, and the girls voice brings me back to the heightened buzz of the female vocal from SMBU.....nothing similar, but that contrast of beautiful female vocals and monster beats is something that no one can top Liam at.

7. Run With The Wolves:
Hmm....still a little on the fence with this one. Reminds me of Warning. I like the idea of it....the fast rock track....but it reminds me of Flint's solo stuff.....One thing that bothers me is the bassy-synth growl is a little too muddy and out of control for its own good....I think it could have been edited differently to accentuate the feeling of speed I think of when I hear RUN w/ wolves.....it's got that Hotride beat to it, and I just think a faster beat could have made this a better track.....I dunno.....It'll take more time to see if it grows on me....

8. Omen Reprise:
FUCK YES! It's that breathy melody that lifts your mind....Weather Experience style.....Liam nailed it w/ the Vangelis/Blade-Runner emotion....this is one of my favorites on the album, just because it's this ethereal uplifting music but theres this seething fury breathing life into it....its still pissed off, but somehow it's comforting....

9. Worlds On Fire:
Goddamn....another of my favorites....TRUE PRODIGY MUSIC.....how can music be this fast? It's like someone stabbed one of those Matrix plugs into the back of your head and downloaded every fiery detail of the apocalypse into your mind in a 4:50 min song. I really love the extra break/elements Liam added to this track from the live version....it double times the speed....Maxim's vocals just tear it up so good.....This track, TMTTH, Omen Reprise, and Thunder take me to that level.....that Prodigy level I haven't been to in so long....it's been too long, but it couldn't have come at a better time....NO MORE FUCKING AROUND PEOPLE!

10. Piranha:
Another track I don't really know what to think of....not sure what it is with Liam's obsession with nuclear surf go-go music.....same kinda thing with Hotride.....it's got this bizarre Tim Burton b-movie vibe to it....definitely puts a specific emotion/vibe in my imagination, but not exactly what I WANT from Prodigy....the vocals don't really do it for me either, and once again, that fucking theremin just bugs me out and MAKES me think of 50s Sci-Fi.....not so much into this one.

11. Stand Up
This one reminds me of a Supergrass song. I like the idea of ending the madness of this album with something mellow and comforting....I just wish instead of that british rock sound, they would have used this opportunity for some uplifting hip-hop.....someone mentioned the lack of a hip-hop jam on this album, and someone also mentioned that this beat is kinda hip-hop.....thats what I think.....this should have been the 'thank you and good night' hip hop jam....I really love that bubbly synth that comes in at 3:00 though, really has that Experience vibe to it.

All in all, I'm super fucking happy for this cd....the tracks I love just outshine any doubts or dislikes for the tracks I don't so much care for..basically tracks 2-9 (barring 7) blow the time since FOTL into a million little pieces.....I feel 17 all over again....I am amped up....I want to work out...I want to draw more...I want girls to want me....I want to be ready for the invasion.

I love Prodigy....I chose my side a long fucking time ago, and this is a real reminder of WHY.

You can't compare Piranha with any other track ever released by any artist, one of the many reasons why it's my favourite track.

All in all nice opinions about the tracks, however I disagree with you about Piranha ^^

the moment i first heard it, i honestly thought it was like the same sorta style as prodigy's cover of War, its got the same type of speed and rush to it im not saying thats a bad thing cuz it aint to me,

Same here. Since I've been listening to it more often than the usual stand-out tracks (TMTTH, Thunder, RWTW) I started to love it more and more. The theremin is what gives me images of futuristic wars and space shit.

This track is what I expected of the new album when Liam was talking about 'a new level of space shit, very melodic'. Piranha is exactly that to me, therefor I think this is the best/one of the best tracks (not quite sure yet). However, I'm sure it's one of the most visual tracks on the album... if you don't like the images you get from this track, I recommend looking at all the artwork when listening to it.

Stasz, remember when I called you up about something? You know, my mom and me listening to the album in the kitchen, analysing it? My mom really liked the low bass part halfway through the track. Then it struck me... I like to think the low bass part is a way of Prodigy saying: 'you're pulled under the water, you're down there with the piranhas, you'll be eaten alive. You fucking lost control.' It just sounds like 'underwater'. Dims, might this change your mind/images on Piranha a bit? :)

I mean, isn't is the whole theme of the album? The space/war/alien/invade stuff going on? You said you don't like the '50s sci-fi, but that's the overall style (looking at the artwork again). Come on, Piranha complements it completely.

It's just a track that's very hard to understand completely. I think it's one of the most intelligent tracks of Prodigy in a long time. I keep discovering, discovering and discovering. :)

yeah I remember :D

As said, the album is one total confrontation.
Just when you think you've escaped the landscape from the fires by going on sea, you're pulled under water by the fucking piranha's.

Yeah that's right. 8-)

You better not lose control, and learn to Stand Up again from all the bites and scars that you've been going through all the years.

Hahah.

Call Piranha shitty or whatever, there's one thing that you can't judge about it.
And that's the amount of intelligence put into the track, it's fucking raw.

It's The Prodigy.

All I'm saying is that while WOF and TMTTH are totally apocalyptic and confrontational, they sound like mega-Prodigy tracks. Piranha carries with it very KEY elements that are borrowed from that 50s sci-fi genre....the theremin, and the go-go rhythm....Not saying its a bad track.....Its just NOT what I want from a Prodigy album, thats all.

Dany Elfman? Nah.. dont think so mate..

Elfman is a master of his kind of music.. Liam is the god of electronic hard music. But thats about it.

C'mon Mooze...we both know the difference between the 2....all I'm saying is that track is about as close as you can get to a Prodigy song sounding like and Elfman theme.

it's fucking Prodigy Go-Go

i hear a lot of people make remarks on the 60's sound of piranha. but i cant get over the end of the track with the absurd horns. its probably the best ending of a prodigy track ever.
