absolutely gutted about the singles from the album
why the fuck have they released the remix's and not their singles?!
the remixes of the Invaders tracks are wack
they should've gone deeper for their remixes
forum productions beat the toss they've put out
and even when they get top names to do the job they havnt delivered
more importantly I want to buy the 12"s to complete my collection and to be able to play the great Invaders tracks
but im not going to buy em because I dont want to waste my money on shit remixes
I want the Prodigy tracks!
seems strange to release your single without your single even on it! :x
cmon Prodigy, sort it out an make it upto us!

They are poor, but at least Omen single had a different verion of the track by Liam to the album version. And Nosia Remix was pretty damn good. What's annoying me the most is they only have 2 tracks on the CD's, that's what's pissing me off!...

In a way we are lucky to get a CD and Vinyl release of the singles these days. Digital sales rule the singles chart now (Warrior's Dance currently number 18 purely based on Digital sales of the album track two weeks before the single is released). Having had a quick look at other singles in the chart, two track CD singles seem to be the standard nowadays. £1.99 seems to get you 2 track CD singles.

It does seem strange not to have The Prodigy original version of the track on the Vinyl but Vinyl is pretty much only for the clubs these days so the 'club' mixes (be it Drum & Bass or whatever) get put on the Vinyl. I bet a lot of Prodigy fans don't even have turntables.

As for the remixes, singles are promotional devices to sell albums. Getting the tracks heard in different places generates more album sales than a B-side would. I do expect a B-side on the next two singles though, 'Mescaline' and 'Dead Ken Beats' unless Liam changes his mind.

Interesting topic but why the fuck have you used a new paragraph for every sentance?

It doesn't agree with my brain.

surely The Prodigy originals are club/dance tracks in their own right tho
they are after all the most successful dance act ever!
and their singles should still carry their originals on them
as well as remixes or bonus trax
a 12" single with Warriors & Omen would sell a lot of units 8-)

I agree with you but maybe they hope people will just buy the album on Vinyl to get the original versions. Like I said, the main job of singles as far as the music industry goes is to sell albums.

Do many DJs still use vinyl any more? Drum & Bass DJs maybe. I'm sure the majority use laptops now.
