omen, stand up, IMD, worlds on fire, trigger/shootdown, heatwave, dead ken beats, mescaline, big gundown, girls, run with the wolves, hotride .. just to name a few - are all based on samples 'n sounds produced by others.
without a doubt, liam is a great producer. granted. but recently i feel he samples too much and i wish he'd just stick to himself. i don't know but it kinda bothers me when he uses too much of a sample 2 create a song.
is it a sign of creativity or just lack of originality?

True. It's not that he samples a lot, it's WHAT he does with those samples - and that's what makes his music great. I prefer that to any "original" sound today.

to take from one source is copying but from more sources is documentation or something like that

About the tracks that you mentioned let me say which ones lack of originality in my opinion:stand up ofcourse, dead ken beats, girls and a bit big gundown.

IMD is completely original, world's on fire too, also if it's got sample fro moutlander, but it's just an add,it's another completely different track, trigger is original and shoot down is more orinal than trigger.Heatwave too and epsecially hotride.Run is based on a does it offend you yeah sample, but it's different.

omen is a ripoff? i missed that.
anyway, it never bothered me that liam samples so much. i think his major talent is to blend it all into a 100% prodigy sounding track every time. originality shouldnt mean anything to you. it is all about whether you like what you hear.

No, I was saying that Omen is an (almost) 100% original track.

Does it seriously matter if Liam samples?
Every Prodigy album is riddled with samples all the way through.

Anyone can sample but its how you creativly use it is the key. Liam is one of the best in the business of sampling. He's hardly gonna stop now, as he said he's a pirate of music, stealing from here there and everywhere. And long may it continue!

what?!

that's the way he's always produced music. All prodigy tracks are just a mash-up of samples.
