This one maybe a bit odd but I'm after a plugin (for mac) that re-creates that trademark time-stretch effect like on SMBU and other 90s club tracks (I'm pretty sure i heard the same sounding effect on one of the tracks off Fatboy Slims first album). I know most DAWs have time stretch features but they seem to sound TOO good (if you know what i mean). The sound I'm after is that really deliberate time stretch sound with all the artifacts. Anyone know what gear Liam used to get the vocal part to sound like it does? Thanks |

Thanks man, the ableton time stretch sounds like shit at low settings, u can hear it all thru liams new remixes, its fucking ugly sounding, is that still too clean for you? u can make it pretty ugly in programs like soundforge too |

yeah use ableton, you'll see a bit at the bottom when u load a tune at the bottom called beats, if its the new ableton your using it will say transients, click on that and change it to 1/16 or 1/32 and slow the track down by clicking and holding the bpm at the top left hand side and u should get that effect |

Isn't it possible that he asked Shahin Badar to take a deep breath and hold on for as long as she could |

Some time strechers have different algorithms (settings). One for each instrument ( vocals guitars ect ). Just time stretch your element by choosing the wrong "setting". Of course you can "ruin" it manually if your time stretcher has advanced options. |

Liam used the akai 3000xl alot during the FOTL-days. But i know that he also used some older akai's. Alot of producers in the late 90's used the bigger and new akai 3000xl for main-sampler, but still would keep the older akais (like the 2000 and so) for the warm filters and FX.. |
