Post subject:  Your Thoughts On Everything Prodigy

Hi, Would just like to know your thoughts on the prodigy albums, which ones you liked and which ones you hated...(sorry if this has been done before, hey i'm new!)

Here's my opinion:

Experience - Amazing album, probably the first album I listened to that made me really wanna dance...heh.. Love the jungle beats in this one.

MFTJG - Another good album, but a lot darker and more rocking a few tracks i didnt like would probably be the last 3, I thought they were far too repetative. No Good is a fantastic club style tune with Their Law being an amazing live track.

The Fat Of The Land - Serial Thriller and Fuel My Fire were probably the worst prodigy tunes i've heard that said the rest of the tracks were fucking awesome.

AONO - Hated pratically the entire album, apart from say Get up, Get off and Memphis Bells, Girls is ok too i guess but i hated the rest.

Dont flame me, its just my opinion, i'd like to hear your views!

Thanks

Rythm Of Life to me sounded a million times better live, the studio version just doesnt sound the same.

EXP - 7/10
M4TJG - 10/10 (I personally think the "Narcotic Suite" is SWeet!)
FOTL - 9-10
AONO when I first heard it - 4/10

AONO to me now - 8/10

I love almost all tracks by the Prodigy. I don't think there is any I "Hate". Just some I hardly listen to.

Tell ya what... To me, Prodigy's worst track(s) are better than 95% of whats in the charts. TO ME.

But guess I'm pretty biased then right?

Rhythm of Life is one of my favourites that cought the post-Experience style. It's maybe the biggest evolution of the band ever, Live and as an Album version =)

EDIT: that was post 1111 :P and you can't fok with them numbers ;P

Ha yeah I used to hate One Love with a passion!

Then I heard the full version, not the edit on the album and it seemed to make a bit more sense to me.

I reckon its the voice sample that puts alot of people off, am I right? sorry off topic a little.

I'm going to disappear now.

When I first heard Experience that sounded cool to me, but Charly... well when I first heard that I asked: what is this? But lates as I've heard that on live, that made me fall in love with that track.
EXP: 10/10
MFTJG is something special to me. I call that to my Bible, that is just something redeeming to me. I think that's the best at all.
MFTJG: 10/10
Their third hit... awesome. Serial Thrilla was never my style, I liked to hear that on live, especially in Brixton 97, that track sounded well, but on the alum... not really. And Mindfields, I loved that much, but somehow I bored on that. But I still like to hear mindfields on live and see Leeroy as he's dancing to it.
FOTL: 9/10
And finally, the sexy and electronic album. My very fkn big problem with it, that Liam just skipped Keith and Maxim from this album. Liam is a music-maker god and he made the cool music and not even Keith or Maxim, but as Maxim said once: we're like a tripods. Kick a leg away and the tripod can't stand up! But beside it, I like a lot of tracks on it.
AONO: 8/10
And the singles... I must give 10/10 to every single, I just love them. Especially kinda tracks like Rhythm Of Life, Rat Poison, The Trick, etc.
And can't wait to hear the new album. And I'm on the same opinion what the_last_ninja said. There is no tracks I "hate". Never. Just some beats I listen less than the others.

Experience
First album by The Prodigy which I bought and still fighting with Music For The Jilted Generation for the number one position for best album by The Prodigy. First track by The Prodigy which I ever heard was G-Force (Energy Flow), followed by Android. I was sad to find out neither were on Exprience. I guess this is what made me start collecting all their work. Hyperspeed (G-Force Part 2) is the best track on the album in my humble opinion and is truly worthy of the name "G-Force Part 2".

Music For The Jilted Generation
After having heard One Love and Rhythm Of Life, I couldn't wait for the album to hit the stores. Music For The Jilted Generation meant the introduction of guitars to the music. Tracks such as Their Law and Voodoo People were simply massive and still sound great today. The best track on the album however is Break & Enter in my humble opinion, one of the best tracks by The Prodigy ever.

The Fat Of The Land
Only bringing forth three singles, this album was sold beyond any of my expectations. When I first heard tracks such as Firestarter and Funky Shit, I knew the band had changed once again musically wise. In my humble opinion The Fat Of The Land was the album thus far on which there were the most different styles, all on one album. From Smack My Bitch Up to Firestarter, from Diesel Power to Climbatize. It's a shame that Mindfields didn't make it as a single in the end.

Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned
After the release of Baby's Got A Temper I was somewhat afraid that The Prodigy would call it a day and quit. Thankfully this didn't happen and a few years later the track Girls was released as a single. I loved the new direction the music went. Just like The Fat Of The Land, this new album would show a wide variety of different styles of music. From all albums, Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned is my least favorite. This album has brought forward some great singles; most of the single versions sound even better than the album versions.

Having to grade all albums is difficult as they all deserve an A+, but I can however try to put them in order of preference.

1. Experience / Music For The Jilted Generation
2.
3. The Fat Of The Land
4. Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned
