yeah agreed. loved that first version. the very first longer version was the best (played at v fest '08 for instance). when they play it live now it ends too soon in the end, never get to start mochin properly and before you know it the beat stops but fuck it. seein them next week, that's all i care |

+10000000 Was only listening to both versions the other day. The original track trounces the studio version. I hope deep down Liam is regretting it. Let him live with that pain. |

it's Liam Howlett. this is just one cause effect of he's work. but we would not want him to be less perfection driven do we? atleast i don't. i also like original version more. but mescaline case was worst in my opinion. i had such faith on that beat we heard from these small club events soundcheck video. |

Totally agree! The first version was the beeeest live tune in this era and would be the best tune in IMD if only he had kept it original. |

In my opinion / vision Invaders Must Die album would be better with tracklist like that: 01.Invaders Must Die (Re-Amped) 02.Omen 03.Thunder 04.Colours (2010 Version) 05.Take Me To The Hospital 06.Warrior's Dance 07.Run With The Wolves 08.Omen Reprise 09.World's On Fire (First Version) 10.Piranha 11.Mescaline (First Version) And maybe twelfth track: 12.Stab |

I think liams train of thought was.. 1."feels like theres something wrong about this track" 2."oh this is starting to feel like a song, you know like a rock song or something. its kinda groovy and catchy in this section.." 3."hang on one sec, i dont write rock songs, i write beats with samples, im fucking liam howlett and i dont write fucking songs, thats why i canned babys got a temper and a full album worth of material that fans actually loved, it needs to sound ''PUNK" like i wear a leather jacket and ''just dont care'' ya know what i mean MAN" 4."Cmd+C Cmd+V x2" 5."great, nothing catchy about it any more! and still got me street cred intact" 6. cue 20,000 confused/disappointed faces the next time its played, liam instantly regrets everything yet maintains it was the right choice all along, when its brought up backstage flinty and maxim look at their feet and begin to talk about the weather.. |

Yeah I agree, first version of World's On Fire is much better But I also agree that Mescaline was a greater tragedy I actually like Mescaline much more with Keith's vocals when it had more of a SKA-ish vibe to it and those extra horns |

I can't listen to World's on Fire studio version without being a bit disappointed each time. The first version was just perfect. Same with Mescaline, that eastern vibe and amazing breakdown lost on the studio version... It's funny though, lots of people said they liked the re-worked AONO more than studio AONO, but IMD got some reworking before release and that's worse for it... |

The reworked versions can go both ways... Invaders Revamp was better than the original.. the live version of Colours was way better than the one on the record... etc.. etc.. So far it's only with Worlds on Fire, Mescaline.. AND the released version of Warning that Liam dropped the ball.. big time. (and releasing Warning and Mescaline without Keef's cool vocals? Eh? Srsly Liam?) |

Well Liam was 50/50 on this album IMD Re-Amped, Omen (Single Mix), and Colours Rework are great I even really like Thunder Dubstep, but still love the album version I even like TMTTH ('09 EQ) for the little extra sounds and tweaks He just overworked WoF and Mescaline... kinda like a Shoot Down situation But yeah, a lot of the newer mixes on AONO were much better than the original release |
