What would you say if we fans of The P do so Liam understand we are bored from setlist and his predictability. When he realizes it is danger for the band he might change his mind    (I hope). We could make a topic in the official site (or in facebook page of the band) where will be post one and the same sentence with message by every user. I don't think they will be so complacent if they know our discontent.

Sorry for my English

The most hardcore fans (so, everyone here), are the most irrelevant fans. 99% or people at Serbian gig were still amazed I guess. So, what do you want to threaten Liam with? :/

Of course I'm all for letting them know that their BK fans (and also official forum fans, those from local communities etc.) would die for new/rare tracks, but even if they would care (I seriously doubt that after yesterday's gig), I'm not sure there's a way to reach them. Do they even read facebook comments, or ANY forums? Nope.

Yes like each massive group they dont read forums and dont interesting of fans sence (the last thing that bands cares is fans mood which is good 'couse people like bands for its originality and non-compliance with anything) but Liam have a inner circle (mortal) and the info is far easy to go to them. Maybe some users or admins know that people. Two years ago Liam notice forum.

This might not be bad idea.

I don't want to believe hardcore fans opinion is worthless to them.

I'm also one of the guys thinking that 95% of the crowd still enjoys this setlist, setlist with theyr best live tunes.

But, if they tour around the world 2 times and land same place with same setlist after 3 years, people will start thinking.

I just hope new Album is not very far anymore, they still might have chance to save theyr ass.

maybe they really need a nodge what makes them realise how lazy they have become. fuck sake Liam.

If they were telling us they will play new tracks at Serbian WDF and they didn't (the 3 we hear for the entire year don't count, they are just demos that we got to have something new while the album is being made), then I really doubt the album is anywhere near being finished.

A crowd in Serbia don't get to see The Prodigy as often as a UK crowd do. I'd imagine most of the Serbian crowd would want to mainly hear The Prodigy tracks they know. The fact is that 'Jetfighter', 'Dogbite' and 'Awol' are new tracks to most people so they did play 'new' tracks at the WDF.

These days every set list for every gig is seen by all the 'hardcore' fans. There are no surprises to us. I'd be happy if 'Their Law', 'Firestarter' and 'Breathe' weren't in the set but most fans of The Prodigy would expect to hear them every time they see The Prodigy Live. Those sort of tracks usually get the biggest reaction from the average 'non-hardcore' Prodigy crowd. It's impossible to please every fan. On Brainkiller you get some people asking for 'Smack My Bitch Up' to be refreshed and then you get some people moaning because Liam played a 30 second dubstep version after the original version. Some people want to hear the original versions and some want to hear refreshed versions.

Personally I'll be waiting until the next album before seeing The Prodigy again. That way I know plenty of new songs will be played.

Well, I'm not hardcore enough to even consider dumping Firestarter or Breathe from the set, first - I like these tracks live, second - I know they will never be dumped and no point arguing it. The Prodigy can't just dump their 2 most known tracks from the set, I'm not saying hardcore fans are THAT important...

About SMBU... yeah it was even funnier to me because the topic asking for changes was here AFTER the dubstep remix was played... well I'd just say the dubstep fills are an exception because of the general hate being thrown here at the genre. I was pleased to hear it, but I can imagine how many people here weren't.

But there's one thing everyone agrees there in the "hardcore" community - we would love to hear some old tracks that are never played these days, like Break and Enter, No Good, I dunno, AONO tracks, even if they'd play an old track I don't like as much as one of my favourites I'd still be pleased.

this is the letter that i put together and wanted to see if the BK people have any suggestions about changes they think is needed before we send this off...

I wanted to be respectful while suggesting the idea to the band when it comes to their own tours. I didn't just wanna be like "Dear Liam, change the goddamn set list." something that shows we still appreciate and love them, but expect a bit variety when it comes to the live shows.

Dear Liam, Maxim, and Keith,

For over two decades, you guys have delivered not only amazing music, but an amazing live performance. But lately, the set list for live shows has remained relatively unchanged. We understand you want to deliver a solid set and give it 110% each time you guys take that stage. We understand that when it comes to festival shows, you would want to tailor the set to focus on the more known tracks in response to the type of audience that will be there. But when it comes to your own tour shows, an element of the live show that fans have been missing is the element of surprise. A part of what makes the shows great is not knowing what comes next. Hearing the first notes of a song you weren't expecting. That rush of emotions that swells inside of you as your mind wraps around that exact moment you are experiencing. This day in age, every aspect of the show is shared online, documented, and sometimes even recorded and posted online as soon as the gig is finished. A lot of the fans travel all over the globe to catch as many shows as they can. We love and appreciate everything that you guys have done. As you have stated when it comes to writing music, we know that you guys never want to repeat yourselves. You never want to come out with a Part 2 to something previous. Always keep it fresh and always keep it moving forward. As fans, we wish that energy was put into the live shows when it comes to your choosing of which tracks you plan to play and in what order. As fans, we're not about the hits and what's to be expected at a show. The Prodigy is not defined by Out Of Space, Their Law, Firestarter, Omen, and so on... as great as all those tracks are. For us fans, you're not defined by a single track. Each and every album track, b-side, jam, demo, and scrapped track has helped build the greatness that is The Prodigy. And we wish a more diverse selection of tracks were played from show to show. This letter is by no means meant to be malicious or disrespectful in any way. We are your fans. We just want that element of surprise brought back into the live shows. Not knowing which track follows which or what is expected to be played. And by no means are we doubting the greatness of what is a Prodigy show. You guys still destroy it at every gig. But as true fans, some since the beginning, every tune is unique and special for us and we think the shows could be even greater if more of those tunes were showcased. We're not here for the hits... we're here for The Prodigy.

Your fans...
always and forever,
The Prodigy Warriors
