Post subject:  The Essential Top 5 Remixes List

So basically we would have to choose from some other artist's remix of a Prodigy track, and not a Liam remix of his own track.

Mines are (in no particular order):

- Wind It Up (Unwind) (by Tony Garcia and Guido Osorio)
- Voodoo People (Dust Brothers Remix) (a.k.a. The Chemical Brothers)
- Poison (Environmental Science Dub)
- Smack My Bitch Up (Slacker's Bass Bug Mix)
- Spitfire (Nightbreed Remix)

Explained: I like dub mixes in general. Wind it up and Poison fall into that category. Some remixes are so original and important that they inspired Liam into re-remixing them. That would be Voodoo People and Spitfire. And finally, I like how a remix takes a track in a totally different direction from the original. We got a couple DnB remixes of SMBU, but Slacker's mix is the only one of its kind.

Probably not, since it's Liam's remix of Chem Bros' remix of Liam's track :D

This is kinda forced from me, since I don't really like Prodigy remixes in general. However there are some that I like a bit more.

Voodoo People (Chemical Brothers remix) - keeps the feel of both bands of which one is my top 1, the other top 5 at least. Bring back Voodoo Beats to the setlist, Liam! :P
SMBU (Noisia remix) - they didn't change much, but totally sticked to their plan of simply bringing it up to current times. Slightly dubsteppy but in the good and unintrusive way. Heavy.
Nasty (Spor remix) - in my opinion, considering that it's hard to remix our favourite band, he did a nice job of keeping the original feel while making it more poisonous and adding something from himself. We'll see if I'll still like it in a year or so. Could've been better for Spor actually, it kinda seemed from the live recording that it'll be more dirty...
Warriors Dance (Benga remix) - while I generally hated the IMD era remixes (apart from Rusko. But only if we consider his effort a parody, instead of a real remix xD otherwise I still hate it...), this one stood out as a nice calm transformation of the original track.
aand... no fifth place

Bonus - 3 mashups (not necessarily official):
No Good x Hella Good (Bane refix)
SMBU x Orinoco Flow (whoever made that one)
Heatwave Hurricane x Beasts in the Basement (Rapraiz)

This one is pure class, one of the best mixes ever done.

Im not into prodigy remixes. there are a few I like. None of them is from IDM era, those are the worst.

My favs:

Girls (rex the dog remix)
Smack my bitch up (noisia)
Voodoo people (dust brothers)
Spitfire (nightbreed)
everybody in the place (155 and rising) the best one for me.

I was waiting for someone to say the Pendulum remix of Voodoo People so I wouldn't be the first :P I'm finding it hard to come up with five though.

Voodoo People (Pendulum Remix)
Omen (SynSUN Remix)

Um...

Narayan (Alex Stealthy's 'The Two Dollar Donkey' Mix)
Break & Enter (UFO Project ReDub)
Smack My Bitch Up (djcruMbs 2 Black Eyes Remix)

The last three are liable to change but I do quite like them.

E: I had the El Batori mix in there then realised what I'd done!
