Yes! ive FINALLY completed an EP. i just really fucking hope i wont want to change this in a few months. ive been tinkering with these for ages now. Its about 6 months worth of work here, started back in the summer, finished last week. These are the best tracks of what ive done over that time frame. i think theyre all pretty catchy, but theyre also stripped down in alot of ways. i didnt want to over complicate things with melody after melody after sample etc.... ive laid down essentially 1 beat, and then a few different bits and bats, a main melody (or two) and samples and shit. and yes, theres breakbeats in here. fuck it, listen and find out urself!
here we go anyway;
The Supersonic Army
Heavy Duty E.P. (2008)
1. Action [Start Game]
2. SonikKa
3. earBleaDe
4. 4.30 in the AM [Remix] (this is potentially a full vocal track, if CHASM still has the vocals from our original choon, which i lost, then it will become 4.30 with vocals!)
and ive included a bonus track in the rar called Inflikted. its just a hiphopish instrumental which is in need of a vocalist or two, but i think it was just worth putting in the file.
heres the link
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=U3XCBM28
(megaupload only at the moment, my broadband keeps timing out when i try to upload to rapidshare, even tho i have a premium account!)
so let me know what you think, ive updated myspace too;

be kind!

Cool stuff.
Me likes it.
You could put some instruments in it.
earBleaDe is real good.

...that's the worse part. you keep thinking to yourself, i can do some a little different here and there. and you end up just never really finishing shit and moving on and never getting the chance to show people what you do. i can honestly say i have like around 100 tracks that i have made in the last couple of years and shitloads of ideas laying about that i never get inspired enough to finish.
times i just wanna say "fuck it, here it is, think of it what you will, enjoy."
it's hard to please everyone, important part is pleasing yourself...
(and i don't mean wanking it)
downloading now...

yeah NR, exactly the same, im gunna try my best to leave these fuckers alone now. ive waited as long as possible to release em out anyway, i usually start a track, get really excited and then start posting demo after demo everywhere. with these, ive kept them to myself, nobody heard them till i was totally happy with them myself. i put small snippets of one or two tracks on myspace a couple of months ago, but they were basically finished articles anyway.
but ive always found ur music to be among the best from the prodigy/bk scene, along with aquila and grinny grandad (i think he used to be, or still is a BK'er right?)

01) Action [Start Game]
-nice old school sounding synth breakdown at 1:15, good use of vox samples, low bass hit!-
02) SonikKa
-too trancey for me, decent track, but my least fave out of the 5-
03) earBleaDe
-this has to be my fave from the EP, love that little background arp that comes, catchy and dark-
04) 4:30 in the AM [Remix]
-very nice atmospheres. nice bass. like the beats on this one. would love to hear it with Chasm's vox, but works well as an instrumental-
05) Inflikted
-alright i had to repick my number 1 track from this after hearing this tune. just love the beats and wicked bass, simple and direct-
pretty nice work you've done. overall, nice sound quality, the mix sounds full. i see what you mean by not stuffing it to the gills with little sounds and losing the vibe and purpose of the track.
good work.

nice one! yeah, the way i looked at my choons was to structure them a little bit like the original your love. just simple and to the point.
im really glad you liked the tracks, and inflikted is something i really want to build on! but i just cant find a vocalist!

i haven't seen Grinny on these boards lately, just over at Music Playground. he's been playing live a lot around now. he was showcased on that local music BBC Maida Vale sessions. his music has grown into a full band now.
it's difficult when i put up tracks because i know there's peeps out there who like the techno stuff and people out there who like the slower stuff. never know what i wanna showcase.
waiting for my website to be finished to pretty much put all the shit up and say the hell with it and move on to bigger and better things.
i can see vocals on Inflikted, would definitely take it to another level.
i listened to your EP on my Sony MDR-V700 headphones. you can really hear the total atmosphere, good phat sound.

yeah grinny seems like hes goin into another orbit man! his choons are tight!
yeah well i crafted my choons on proper earphones; denon AH-C551's. cost me £70 ( i started on some ultimate ears metro.fi2 earphones, but ive had two pairs break on me now with the exact same fault so ive switched to denon) and they are brilliant in ear, just like monitors basically. so its enabled me to really fine tune everything and create, as youve said, atmosphere!
:D
