Lily dumped after losing baby

Lily Allen has been dumped by Chemical Brother Ed Simons - weeks after losing their unborn baby, according a report in the Sun.

The singer, 22 - who suffered a New Year miscarriage - was said to be heartbroken.

The couple’s five-month relationship hit the rocks as they battled their grief by taking a £3,000-a-night trip to the the Maldives.

They tried to patch things up on their return to the UK - but following a series of bitter rows millionaire Ed, 37, told her: “It’s over.”

A pal of Lily’s confirmed last night: “They tried to make things work but couldn’t. The miscarriage was a horrible experience for both of them - and in recent weeks the mood between them had been really strained.”

The friend went on: “Lily is really upset things haven’t worked out for her and Ed.

“She had talked about settling down for good and having a family.

“But there is a big age difference and the heartbreak they had to cope with was too much too early in their relationship.”

Lily found she was pregnant only a month after she and Ed began dating.

They met after she went to a Chemical Brothers gig in London’s Trafalgar Square in September.

At the after-show party Lily pointed at him and said to friends: “He is going to be my boyfriend.”

She first saw him perform when she was 12 - after her father Keith Allen took her to Glastonbury.

The friend said: “They hit it off and things seemed to be going really well.”

Last night Lily’s spokesman refused to comment on the split.

Bit harsh in my opinion, but this is a 'modern' world, where husbands offer absolutely no support to a woman who has been through such an experience. I personally would be ashamed of myself if I had done that to a person, but then again I guess I have a heart.
