Surrender was their best. They finally left the big beats and created a whole new sound.

Its pure Chemical Brothers stuff! I like it!

I'd prefer if they went back to that 97 sound

In the '90s, where you also still seem to be. There's more to electronic music than just the big beats. I agree I miss that stuff, but chems are so much more than just big beats. The journey tracks from Surrender up to Further are also very interesting. I think they'll surely bring fresh stuff to the table.
I agree with MightyPoo (yeah I'm bringing it back and I don't care)
I feel like many on the forum now and in the past have been against the new Prodigy and new Chemical Brothers and I can respect that but I don't think they can just stay with FOTL era stuff. Do I want to hear something that feels like that, sure, but I want them to evolve. As long as they're hard hitting I'll be happy. I loved the last Chemical Brothers album. Hated We Are The Night. All the same I'm excited for all the new music coming our way.

People are too attached to their nostalgia.
They should grow up.

True I couldn't even make it through that Hunger Games track but I really don't get the hate for their last 4 albums. They still all sound like Chemical Brother tracks and beats to me.

Love Further and We Are The Night, with Further sounding like a return to form.
Didn't really feel Push The Button at all, none of those tracks stuck with me.
The first three albums are solid... Come With Us was 50/50
Push The Button takes last and final place on my list.

every album has its exciting parts and its "meh" parts
and that live excerpt with Q-Tip, right above, is an exciting part. reminds me of when we had a first live excerpt of Swoon. reminds me of when I first heards tracks like Midnight Madness... Do It Again... Believe... My Elastic Eye... Got Glint... Elektrobank... In Dust We Trust.

Lost interest after "Come With Us" which was patchy at best. They lost their edge completely after that, "Midnight Madness" was awful beyond belief!

The Chems are coming to my hometown on June 13th. That's some Horse Power for me.
