that la roux thingy is not bad... i remember hearing sounds like this more than ten years ago, it was called dub these days, now it's called dubstep.

what i associate with dubstep is this really violent sound, basslines with too much resonance for my taste and the wobble effect on 16th and triplets. most of the tunes called dubstep have this element, right?

i imagine a guy sitting on the toilet with the runs and all of a sudden he thinks "ey, wouldnt that sound cool with a BOOM - BA - BOOM - BOOM - BA?"... and dubstep was born

and about shutting up: i thought this thread is made for arguing. if everyone shared your opinion you could lick each others balls for three pages and good. you know, freedom of speech and shit

Everybody is entitled to their own hatred of anything of course, but i see too many haters let their image of dubstep be dominated by the rusko-style stuff.
It is definitely more dancefloor oriented, but if you'd take a newcomer to a dnb party today he'd also think Pendulum is the standard for the genre.

everything you just posted minus the Forign Beggars track is the most popular Dubstep in America...and half of those producers are weak as shit.

The genre has now made the next evolution of watered down Dub.

ugh. nothing personal...its just fucked up how I avoid those tracks and live shows from those ppl and that's what all the kids are eating up.
