hey "keyboard warriors" . Read this
Quote: refreshingly honest interview, Skream shares his opinion on the dubstep haters, or as he calls them, the "keyboard warriors".
He says, "It’s so easy to fall into that forum shit. I’ve been bad for it sometimes, you know there is stuff being said, you can’t help but look.
"These cunts are sitting there, behind their laptop - keyboard warriors!"
Naturally, conversation turns to America and Skrillex. But Skream remains positive, "We get a lot of love from people like Skrillex. He’s doing amazing at the minute, he’s a phenomenon, really, when you look at it - he’s only been about for a year and he’s like the fourth most popular dance act in the world. He’s up for five Grammys. He must be doing something right, you know what I mean?"
He continues, "What are we gonna do, form a united front against Skrillex? Honestly, it’s pathetic. I think it’s ridiculous. Either listen to it or don’t listen to it. There’s still nights playing the stuff those people want to hear. It’s just bitchiness, it really is.
"I think it hurts a lot of people over here because it’s a UK sound."

Honestly, all the things he says about Skrill guy, i agree.

He has a point.
One of the issues with skrillex and a lot of dubstep is that it has become VERY popular. A lot of people who love electronic music like to think they're involved in some kind underground, non-commercialised scene. It's their's you know? It's their little place.
Now with this rush of young people heavily into dubstep (or what ever genre we're calling it now) suddenly they feel invaded. It's like that band you really love that no one knows about, then everyone starts to listen to them. Suddenly they're not your favorite band anymore. Am I making any sense? Haha!

I love The Prodigy since '94...
Used to draw their Experience logo all over my books at school
People in my class going, what the hell is that?
Then, years later when Fat Of The Land came out
Breathe and Firestarter were played at my middle school dance
Hows that for a sudden change of popularity?
Guess what... I still love them
People need to grow up if thats their mindset and worrying if something is popular or underground. Just fucking enjoy the music and stop caring about what other people think.

Yeah, I'm reviving this topic, gotta post something related. Now, I hate dubstep, already stated that and I'm not going back. However, I got this damn track that I FUCKING LOVE and I refuse to accept that it's dubstep. Is it???

Even worse. It's Pendulum making dubstep.
But well... this one is like a mashup of dubstep, electro and hardstyle with reggae vocal. If it makes you feel better to not think of it as of a dubstep track, I see nothing strange with that

Elements of Dub, DnB, Reggae, Moonbathson, Clip Clop, etc, etc.
Definitely one of their better tracks.
I have two genres only now, Like/Don't like.
This is Like.
