NOT THE ACTUAL EVENTS, THE NEW 5 SONG EP WILL BE RELEASED NEXT FRIDAY, 12/23 WITH PREORDERS LIVE RIGHT NOW. THE EP FINDS REZNOR AND NOW OFFICIAL BANDMATE ATTICUS ROSS TAKING AN UNEXPECTED LEFT TURN FROM 2013’S HESITATION MARKS AND SOUNDING UNRECOGNIZABLE FROM THEIR CURRENT FILM WORK.

The new EP is good, I just wish it was released on CD.

The Fragile is my fave NIN album so the Deviations 1 interests me, but again I'm not going to shell out on a limited vinyl.

The whole thing is on YouTube and my favorite of the unreleased tracks is Was it Worth It? This is amazing, any Prodigy fan should check it out as it's got great beats/energy/vibe...

It's a shame that he's only offering vinyl as a format option, not even a separate digital release. And once the release is sold out, there's not other way to get it. This format exclusivity crap in 2017 is just dumb. And I'm sorry, if you like vinyl that is fine. But it's not superior, vinyl is just a preference.

I recently got Add Violence EP on CD and it's excellent, the whole thing flows and works well as an EP and it's probably some of the best NIN for years. I wish the first EP of the trilogy was released on CD too, but maybe when all 3 EP's are released they'll do a boxset?...

Well Amazon has a Not The Actual Events CD listed for November 17th. It's been up with a preorder date a couple of times, but got pushed back. It seems silly to release Add Violence on CD and not Not The Actual Events. Both EPs have been the best NIN music in a long time though I tend to listen to Not The Actual Events more than Add Violence. But yeah, it's a while since a NIN release got me excited. With Teeth was the last album I truly liked from them. Trent did say about combining the 3 EPs in a new way for a future release, but we will see what happens. The next one should be out soon.

It looks like you're right, Not The Actual Events CD appears to have been released today. I'll have to get a copy. Very strange to release it after so long and after Add Violence, but I won't complain! Now if only The Fragile Deviations 1 could get a CD release too...

God Break Down The Door leaked when NIN YouTube mistakenly posted the video as public and pulled it down shortly after, of course not quick enough before folks ripped it and shared it. It sounds like NIN doing their best David Bowie's Blackstar impression.
