FORMER PITCHSHIFTER AND PRODIGY GUITARIST JIM DAVIES TEAMS UP WITH FEMALE BREAKBEAT PRODUCER / VOCALIST ODISSI FOR NEW ELECTRO ROCK PROJECT

SEX & CIRCUITRY, to quote their Myspace "Sounds like: ...insane guitar driven electronic filth" - and it goes without saying that we wouldn't expect anything less from a duo with such an impressive combined musical past.

Ax man Jim Davies, most notably known for lending his skills to the Prodigy's 'Firestarter' and 'Breathe' and for his extensive dirty past in the band Pitchshifter, delivers the rock element to the productions with the kind of class that could only be expected from the man hailed as one of the best dance music guitarists of this generation.

And of course, one can not have slamming tunes with just guitars alone,
which is where his studio sidekick, the feisty female producer/vocalist who goes by the name of Odissi steps in! Those familure with the name most likely know it from either her vocal work alongside dance heavyweights such as the electro hitmaker / chart topper D.Ramirez or her status as a "breakbeat A-lister" for her quirky and bassline heavy productions. For Sex & Circuitry Miss Odissi uses both skills to full effect, complimenting Jim's guitar work with her Sultry-punk vocal style and highly polished production and programming.

An idea born in December 2007 when as a "stand in vocalist" Odissi shared a stage with Jim as part of the Dj Hyper's live band, SEX & CIRCUITRY has truly come a long way in a remarkably short period of time. After intense 3 months of practically living in the studio together they are pleased to announce that they are not only more than half way through the production of their debut album, but also ready to take their act live with their first gig lined up for the renowned MONSTER MONSTER in Manchester, followed by a tour of Russia and Europe later in the summer.

sounds pretty good to me

listened to the three tracks yesterday on myspace and it sounds really jim davies stuff. top beats, great guitars plus a new addiction of a female voice, which fits great on the music. looking forward to the album
