Hey it's almost the end of the year so why not make a cheesy chart with your top 10 fave albums of 2008?
Here are mine:
01. MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
02. The Killers - Day & Age
03. The Subways - All Or Nothing
04. Bloc Party - Intimacy
05. N.E.R.D. - Seeing Sounds
06. The Kooks - Konk
07. The Raconteurs - Consolers Of The Lonely
08. The Kills - Midnight Boom
09. Tricky - Knowle West Boy
10. Scarlett Johansson - Anywhere I Lay My Head
EDIT: I've totally forgotten about The Raconteurs and The Kooks - so I'm sorry but Primal Scream and The Teenagers are off the list now
As you can see most of the selected albums are rock records. Unfortunately there are not many fresh electronic/dance albums lately but I have big hopes for 2009

In no particular order (and not a top 10), great albums I discovered in 2008. I mean... what this year brought ME in terms of music:
Portishead - Third
Radiohead - In Rainbows (actually 07 but whatever, I listened dozens of times in 08)
Bloc Party - Intimacy
Syntax - Meccano Mind
Pendulum - In Silico
Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts
Nine Inch Nails - The Slip (didn't listen much though)
Fink - Distance and Time
Ray LaMontagne - 'till the sun turns black
and some more but these are just fiiiine. Might add more later.

Juno Reactor - Gods and Monsters (I must've played Tanta Pena about 50 times a day during the first few weeks after it dropped?)
Amon Tobin - Foley Room Live (The GOD at the top of my "top producers" shrine... this release just confirms the love... that it consists mostly of his OWN tunes in a live dj set and that THEY ROCK THIS MUCH.... is just proof of mad talent at work)
Diplo and Santogold - Top Ranking (Mixtape) (Awesome from top to bottom... never wears out it's stay... all tunes make you wanna rock out with your cock out)
and as far as NEW ALBUMS that i LOVE that was it... Radiohead left me unimpressed and so did pretty much all other records named in this thread.... Here's to a better 2009!

heeey it's not fair to put Radiohead's In Rainbows here - it's 2007 album (i know the CD came out in 2008 but still) if we count it anyway it goes to my top 10 albums as well

Title of 'My best album' of 2008 definitely goes to:
1 : More Than Alot by Chase and Status, it's very good.
I dont have a top ten for you sorry... but I sure as hell know In Silico wouldnt be in it !!

I don't know really why In Silico is said to be that bad. Chase&Status with that one album with half of it being just random stuff... nah.
