Looking for ARTISTS / Albums that feature a lot of drums. Loud drums, crazy drums, whatever.

Pref not a whole lot of vocals or guitars or anything of that. Synths and such are fine.. especially if they're mood-setting breakdown synths and the like

Prefer realistic drums, but not required

Most tracks by London Elektricity have great drums, check out his latest album Syncopated City.

You can hear some of the tracks from the album here: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... D=52424910

By lots of drums I suppose you mean high bpm. Like dnb tracks. If you want HARD drums, then listen to some hardstyle music & stuff (Warp Brothers, Ravers on Dope, etc.). Witch reminds me to open a topic about some stuff I need.

check out dylan rhymes - new sun. that kind?

photek's earlier stuff, telefon tel aviv, the avalanches - el producto (some crazy tracks in there), the crystal method's beats are pretty heavy, but i suppose you know that already, the herbaliser, venetian snares  , ulrich schnauss. be more specific. fast, complex, loud, weird, what genre?

Drums.

Being vague on purpose to try to get a variety....
Looking for something that really features drums. not necessarily a drum solo or anything.. just lots of drums

Similar to Technical Itch's stuff... like Pressure Drop. Lots of drums. Preferably with a bit more soul.. most of Technical Itch's stuff sounds similar or gets a bit boring a bit way in

ok, in this case i add Dillinja, Rawthang, High Contrast, Concord Dawn, Counterstrike..

there are (or were) two awesome dnb mixes floating around the net, called decrystalize 1 and 2. check out their tracklistings.
+
panacea - hardest tour on planet earth
junkie xl - saturday teenage kick (ya know, some of the castbreeder stuff)
RJD2 - since we last spoke
SebastiAn from ed banger has a fucking heavy beat, in spite of it being 4 on the floor. check Motor, Walkman, Army, some of his remixes.

did i forget Photek? ok, Photek as well, Future Prophecies (especially the track Total Confusion), Omni Trio (check High Noon from his 2004 Rogue Satellite, now that's what i call a beat, also check out Less Than Zero).

Aphex Twin if you have the patience (i've lost mine), Death In Vegas has some interesting drum beats on some tracks (ask me which ones if you're interested), MR SCRUFF shit i almost forgot him. the flashbulb might work for you. DJ Food has a nice mix called Refried Food.

are mellow breaks/beats/drums ok as well?

Dj Shadow - Endtroducing. In fact his entire discography is a good place to start.

Most of the people here seems to be too much of the new generation.

How could you forget Led Zeppelin, which had almost revolutionary drum production on many tunes back in the days.
