"Roc Ya Body"

Enhanced CD Single & Video Out on Umami Records 30th October

News that will send reverberations through the UK music and club scene is that the notorious Ping Pong Bitches are BACK! Famous for their mesmerizing gigs with show-stopping performances, outspoken interviews, songs of sex, teenage boys, high heels and psychosis, London's proper bad girls have signed to Mark Moore's Umami Records and prepared a string of singles and an album to unleash on the music scene.

Their first new single 'Roc Ya Body' hits the streets on 30th October and will include a video as well as a club remix from the legendary ‘Punx Soundcheck', who have beefed up the beats and created a dancefloor monster that will shake asses from Hoxton to Harlem. The limited DJ promo (on 12" vinyl) will feature an extra remix by McSleazy. 'Roc Ya Body' was inspired by blonde vocalist Louise Prey's illicit lustings for a teenage boy she met on a coach to Manchester.

Mark Moore says "When I first saw the Ping Pong Bitches I fell in love. I thought this is how the Shangri-Las would sound if they were brought up on a diet of Acid House and The Ramones." This new invention of the band sees the Ping Pong Bitches morph from a trio of girls singing over a backing track, to a live band featuring keyboards and guitars. Hong Kong's Mandy Wong has departed making way for two live instrumentalists, Danny Noise (guitars & production) and Sister Hell (keyboards) who have helped bolster the sound.

The Bitches are renowned for their unapologetic couldn't give a f**k attitude. They cite influences as diverse as Sex Pistols, Satan's Slaves, Joan Jett as well as Lil Kim, Notorious B.I.G, Serge Gainsbourg and Kraftwerk. Some describe them as 'punky disco hell cats', they describe themselves as Jekyll and Hyde at an after-party. Their music fuses raucous rock'n'roll, bad ass rap as well as original 80's electro beats.

The Bitches' pedigree is pure rock 'n' roll: they have a fiercely independent spirit which has earned them patronage from some of the industry's most notorious and successful managers including Malcolm McClaren; Alan McGee and Mike Champion (Prodigy). Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) plays guitar for them and their past is littered with huge names such as Larry Tee, Peaches, Scissor Sisters and Primal Scream.

Since their last release, the Ping Pong Bitches have performed around the world playing the likes of Coachella, Pukkelpop, Popcomm, Revolver and supporting the Scissor Sisters. Most recently they provided vocals on the Prodigy's latest album, 'Outnumbered Never Outgunned' including the hit single 'Girls'.

The relentless gigging combined with their show-stopping performances has created a world-wide cult following which is gathering momentum daily.
