To any record label really.... But also particularly to either Cooking Vinyl, TMTTH or Ragged Flag? And if so ever had any response? (Positive or negative)? ----------- On a slight side note, after sending to the Prodigy MySpace yesterday: "Hey, how you doing?.... Just a question for ya... A couple of years ago, 'The Prodigy' set up a record label to sign artists / bands to; and I understand that submissions were sent via Fusion Music Management... The address known publicly for submissions is: Fusion Music Management Ltd - c/o Ragged Flag, P.O.Box 100055 (etc etc etc)......" I received a message from The Prodigy MySpace today. Sounds a little bit like it was from someone who knows about the band, but might not particularly have anything to do with them. (Tell me if I'm wrong)... Hi, The band doesn't use Ragged Flag. The label is Take Me To The Hospital, which is distributed by Cooking Vinyl in the UK. At the moment they aren't looking to sign anyone to their label due to the current touring schedule and pending new album which they want dedicate 100% of their time. If they did sign someone they would want to be able to give them as much of their time as possible - which wouldn't be very much at the moment. Hope that makes sense. FYI this is CV's address Cooking Vinyl 10 Allied Way Acton London W3 0RQ When the band do start to look to for artist I'm sure it'll be announced somewhere. take it easy Prodigy HQ |

According to the answer you got from them, they obviously wont be signing anyone within the next 3 years (tour, new album, tour of new album) so you can forget about that. Im currently in the process of finishing my first demo worthy of sending out to record companies. And this is after seven years of fucking around on my 'puter. I distributed two or three copies to a couple of people in the record business which I already know. Feedback was good and I have two or three more tracks to finish. But seriously, don't send anything out until you are 100% satisfied with it. And I really do mean 100%. And, try to get some gigs to back you up. After checking your stuff out, I see you got hooked on the AONO sound, at least thats what the guitar processing sounds like, and your overall sound as well. I like it, but I think it could use a little tweak here and there. And deffo master your tracks before sending out. |
