Post subject: | Danny Byrd's new album |
Hi there! Whilst we're all waitin' for Milton Keynes dvd I thought I'd share with you with what I've recently came across: Danny Byrd (drum'n'bass dj/producer of Hospital Records) has released recently a new album called 'Rave Digger'. I watched an interview with him where he said the album was inspired by The Prodigy's 'Experience' and whole rave era. So, here are a couple of tracks from 'Rave Digger', not big news at all but still hope you'll enjoy them: Danny Byrd - Planet Earth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BN21V7LkcM Danny Byrd - Hot Fuzz (feat. Used to love Danny Byrd after his 'Supersized' album, though I feel this one is a bit of a step down in quality, regardless of my love for the rave era and the record label it's signed on. I really wish he didn't have to get into autotune too, as that's the main thing I hate in pop music atm. It's an effect that can sound good if done properly (like for Daft Punk), but it's become such a cliché in music nowadays and it's seriously overused. Don't get me wrong; some of the tracks on Rave Digger are great. But there's no Shock Out, From Bath With Love or Soul Functions in sight... and my expectations were paramount considering how I believe Supersized is one of the greatest drum and bass albums ever made. |
