take a breath...
calm down mate
don't write off an entire genre based off shitty tracks showcasing that genre
there is good dubstep out there that you have to dig for
but just like any other popular genre, a bunch of wannabes jump on the bandwagon and over saturate it with crap
i mean, when it comes down to, dubstep really is just drum n bass with half timed hip hop beats instead
and just like drum n bass, there's a lot of shit DnB and some DnB

At least DnB is older and sounds hell of a lot better. This crap, like I said, can be described in two words: wobble wobble. I know there are people even here that like this shit, but I will never understand why. This dubstep crap is like copy and paste on thousands of tracks, all over again. Boring, stupid, etc. And: http://www.splicetoday.com/music/dubstep-sucksQuote: Dubstep sucks because it’s not music for its own sake. Dubstep has been embraced primarily by high school and college students eager for an excuse to get fucked up.

If you can sit there and type "this can't be consider a genre" and then try to defend DnB in the same sentence, then there's no basis to having a discussion. Dubstep is a genre. Obviously it's not your favorite. I can sit here and say that drum n bass is a boring genre as well, but I can appreciate some of it. Yes, there is a lot of crap DnB with an occasional good track here and there just like any other genre. I compare DnB to club/house music... 6-8 minute long repetitive sounding tracks. But to each their own.
You can call it crap, but dubstep is here and very popular. Just like anything that's in, there's gonna be haters. But I wouldn't be silly enough to write off an entire genre.

Dude, ya just wrote off the entire electronic music scene with that quote. I found this article to come as being musically ignorant.

That's your opinion dude. I'm sticking to mine. There's no way you can compare this crap to DnB or any other genre for that matter. I would rather listen to Gaga then this shit. Seriously. Let's see how you would feel when you're getting 50 youtube links/day on YM and many more on facebook with...guess what??? SAME FUCKING SHIT, dubstep tracks, different only by one or two instruments! Oh yeah, this is MUSIC!! Let's get together and get all fucked up on a dubstep session! Dear God...

Well, when the article came to that quote about high schoolers and college kids liking it cuz "it's music to get fucked up" lost all validity. Because sadly, that is the entire electronic music scene out there. That's what raves are all about, doing drugs and getting fucked up and trying to think you can dance to the music. Which is sad. People care more about dressing up and take E than the actual music. Every rave that I've been to has been about cliques and people were very closed minded when it came to music. To try to blame this all on dubstep music is a joke. Sadly, that's the entire scene. And what people seem to love more at these events is this whole hardcore, hardstyle, hardhouse, gabber whatever ya wanna call it bullshit. Now that is a shitty genre if ya ask me. Much more than dubstep.
Once I heard a hardstyle remix of Coldplay's "The Scientist" at one of these events that just did it in for me. Coldplay should not be remixed into a hardcore song.

I never said I like hardcore, shitcore and all that other crap. And I didn't blame anything on dubstep, dubstep it's not the reason why there are wars in the world or why there's global warming. I just said it's shit, period. And it is. I didn't compare it with anything else, there could be shittier genres out there, but I don't care, because I'm being invaded with THIS crap daily. When people start sending me hardcore remixes of popular tracks, I'll open another topic here.
And trust me, I'm not judging this "genre" by those tracks that I posted here. I tried to (at least) understand this, but it's really impossible. And I'm sick of it.

If you don't like a genre, it doesn't mean it's crap.
Listen what you want and let others do that too.
No one forced you to listen to it after all.

For me dubstep is like techno..
It's too easy to be abused (by anyone with a synth like "Largo" or "Thor") but that doesn't mean it's a crappy genre..there are some top notch tunes out there.

For you maybe. I can say the same, if you like the first 2 minutes of this then it's hard to understand how you also like Prodigy.
