http://www.residentadvisor.net/news.aspx?id=27363 A new album from The Chemical Brothers will arrive next year. The album is tied into a new live show from the veteran act, with Sónar today revealing that they'll be hosting The Chemical Brothers at next year's festival in Barcelona. Speaking to Sónar, founding member Tom Rowlands said: "The most important feature of the album is that it connects with us emotionally in some way. We hope for finding a new way to make you feel. We dream of new sounds and different frames. We have worked with some guest singers but mostly the album is pure Chemical Brothers." The yet-to-be-titled album is the first studio LP from The Chemical Brothers since 2010's Further, though they've worked on a couple of film-related projects in the past couple of years, scoring the 2011 movie Hanna and working with director Adam Smith on their own concert film, Don't Think. Smith is also involved with the act's new live show. |

There will be a great year, but I`ve lost trust in Chems, expectation about their new album is zero. where are the big beats? |

i thought Further was great... except for Escape Velocity... well maybe more of its placement on the album. it shouldn't of been the 2nd track, maybe more like 3/4 of the way in. i feel it ruins the build up Snow has. should went right into Another World and have Escape Velocity later. plus Don't Think should have been on the album or replaced Escape Velocity with it. but i felt Further was the closest to the old Chems sound like Surrender. i even enjoyed We Are The Night, but still quite off from the original Chems sound. i hate Push The Button, my least favorite. nothing beats their first three albums though. |
