doubt it. what will they do when nobody sells an hd dvd player? blu ray and players are flying off the shelves not just for the sake of ps3's

Wrong... as of April 2007, more HD DVD players are being sold compared to Blu Ray Players...

well maybe where you live but the only thing in the states going on with HD players and formats is that blu ray is kicking ass hands down

... and I thought there will be players available, wich are compatible to both formats !!! I hate the cases of the BlueRays AND the HD-DVD´s !

i dont know of a cross format player, maybe there is one but right now the battle seems useless. Blu Ray is owning the scene in the states atleast and that's a 300 million population pool of consumers... i think it would only happen if one side does films the other side doesnt and the war is over and there is only 1 standard format so they do a cross format for the sake of people still being able to watch some of their films that arent standard format

... I bet it the winner will be this one, wich supports PORN movies. The same "war" some years before was between VHS, BETA and VIDEO 2000.
VHS wins, cos of support by the porn industrie. It was the worst format in my opinion....

I have a feeling somewhere down the line the porn industry and others will switch over to Blu Ray if forced but that's providing Blu ray does infact win in the end. To me HD is HD I could care less either way lol. You can't continue production on a format that isn't supported anymore.
