Yeah, I wasn't expecting Alien in HD to be something special, but it is.

I have this Alien Anthology 6 disc blu ray box set. All four films looks absolutely amazing.

90% of ppl will say that first and second are much better than third and fourth. I agree that fourth is worst, but third is probably my favorite. This one is so unique, no spaceships, no hi-tech, no guns, no escape. And idea abut this crazy and fast dog-alien is absolutely great!

This is what I have been trying to say to Stasz. My personal favorite is 3 too! I acknowledge that Alien is probably most ahead of its time, and - to me - the best cinematic base for a franchise.

To quote myself first:

Btw, we never seen Alien evolved from Space Jockey. We know that PredoAliens are very strong and powerfull, but imagine JockeyAlien! This one must be brutal.

Also, imaginge Alien queen or Alien empress evolved from predator or jockey! huh

(Some parts of story are explained in AVP pc games)

Then this:

Quote:
"Despite that press release that seemed to indicate there were no aliens in the movie, the familiar HR Giger-style aliens do appear. Big ones apparently."

Btw, in videogames we have Praetorians. Much bigger and stonger aliens.
Story says that noramal alien can evolve into this one, while this one latter can evolve into queen.

So, we have, human-born alien, human-born praetorian, human-born queen (From superfacegugger or from evolved alien/praetorian), and all of them born from predators, dogs, spacejockeys or any spieces. So many great ideas!!!

Queen superfacehugger from Alien 3 Directors Cut:

Lending further weight to the idea that Prometheus is connected to the Alien Universe, Noomi Rapace said in a January interview that this film was indeed connected to the other Alien movies, after Ridley's announcement that this was a stand alone movie...

Also.. Jon Spaihts, who was the main writer on the Prequel before Damon Lindeloff.... had an old script called "Shadow 19" that features a giant terraforming ship called.. wait for it.. Prometheus. I think it's safe to say that this script was the starting point for the Prequel.. instead of the "Alien: Harvest" script wich was said many times, to be a fake.

no one said harvest was a fake.terraforming was also in that script.and ridley didn't say it's completely stand alone, but it fits in an expanded universe.the only concern is if we will see the god damn aliens killing people,or smething else

No official denial, yes... but then again i dont think they cared too much about it... (the fake scripts going around for The Dark Knight Rises got no official denial either.) plus... alot of people who read it where left wishing it was fake! hehe At least i did... avpgalaxy forum received an email from a guy who claimed to be the actual writer... i think that settled the case pretty much... at least to me... other websites where just spreading the rumour around that it was indeed the true script...

Anyway onwards with new NEWS!

Michael Fassbender confirms that yes.. this is definitely within the Alien movie continuity... and Charlize Theron has joined the cast :)

Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender... cool cast so far... they are all talented cats :)

He never said outright that it fit in an expanded universe... he unfortunatelly just said that the movie had "strands of Alien DNA"... wich got a lot of people, me included, nervous hehe

Huge sigh of relief!

I'm glad about Charlize because I won't fucking stand someone like Angelina Jolie in a Alien-like movie.

And the super queenfacehugger was a stupid idea by people who think they can change stuff because they can.

A rejectable shot in the near perfect Alien 3 Assembly Cut.

'Prometheus' Is Absolutely Connected To 'Alien,' Says Michael Fassbender
12 February 2011

There's a lot of deserved excitement over "Prometheus," Ridley Scott's glorious return to the science fiction genre. But there's some confusion as well: what started out as an "Alien" prequel morphed into what Scott has described as an "original story." So, should we take that to mean there's no longer any connection between "Prometheus" and the "Alien" franchise?

No, we shouldn't. According to leading man Michael Fassbender, "Prometheus" is absolutely connected to "Alien."

"Oh, absolutely. There's a definite connecting vein," Fassbender told MTV News when asked pointblank whether or not "Prometheus" and "Alien" are connected. "You realize you're part of something else, but it's definitely in keeping with the old ones."

Although it explores other areas of that universe, it appears that "Prometheus" and "Alien" exist in the same space. For Fassbender, that connection was initially a bit overwhelming: "When I read it, I was like, 'Well, okay, another Alien. Where do you go with this idea?' And then I sort of read the script, and it's new, yet it's in keeping with the old traditions as well. But there's a whole new revelation within this film."

"The first 'Alien' [movies], they were thrillers," he continued. "Something's going on. It's creeping, it's sinister. Things are happening, it's building, [and there are] different sorts of intrigues and politics going on between the different relationships on board."

Fassbender's description of "Prometheus" echoes back to the atmosphere of Scott's original "Alien" movie, but according to the actor, it's not all claustrophobic horror – there's action as well.

"There's action in it," he said, "but the intelligence is what struck me when I read it. It's more sort of like the original ones. There are things happening and building, and the intelligence of the first two-thirds of the film gets you ready for the action."

For his own part, Fassbender says he's considering preparing for the shoot with some specific physical training: "I was thinking about doing some yoga, some Pilates. I need to sort out my posture a little bit. I want to be as tall as I can standing next to those aliens!"
