POSSIBLE SPOILER
I watched the movie and was left with some questions. The trap that Will Smith stepped into, did the main zombie/infected guy set it up having seen Will set the trap for the woman zombie/infected or what?

Agreed, I wondered about that myself. Someone set the trap, and moved Fred there............ Maybe we won't get that answered until the dvd is released with bonus material...

Glad someone else noticed as well. The infected would have to be pretty smart to know move Fred and set a trap. More time should have been spent developing the infected and less time playing golf and driving new Mustangs.

Yes he copied Will Smith after doing that. What I didn't get was after that when he was holding the 3 dogs and they were waiting for the sun to go down, once it finally did and the dogs attacked him, why didn't the head zombie/other zombies attack him at that point?

The director told him he needed 30 more minutes of movie so he held off. But seriously, it doesn't make sense for the infected guy to to just watch Will kill the dogs and drive away.

I thought it was pretty obvious that the zombie "commander" set up the trap. My question is how did the infected know to use Fred as bait? Had they seen Will interact with the maniquens at the rental place somehow, someway?

l just my thought if you notice the zombie who sticks his head out after willl catches th female zombie
its the same zombie man thing thats so pissed off at the end and that makes the trap
so i was thinking that it was his women and he was pissed will took her because he knew she would die cause of will
so he gets the other zombie people together to take out will so no other zombie people thingys will have to die
and i think some where in the movie it said they were always watching him so thats how they knew to take fred or maybe the other women one maybe

She had UV lights didn't she. She used lights to hurt them, loaded will in a car and drove him home.

i liked it, but wish they hadn't given it the same title as the book.
in the book - which you really should read if you like this kinda thing - he goes out killing the vampires during the day, and gets hassled at his house by them every night.
BOOK SPOILERS
there aren't any other human survivors and the vampires are intelligent. some of the vampires mutate and can live in sunlight. they then trick him into thinking they are human survivors so they can capture him.
the book's main idea being that in a vampire world, the human killing them as they sleep is the monster they are scared of. he is a legend to the vampires.
bit bleak, but hey - if i want a happy ending i'll watch a hollywood film

ah haha. I just assumed that Will had made the trap himself, but since he was going a bit insane he had forgotten about it....
