Coming out in a couple of weeks. Interesting to see what Cameron's comeback effort will do in the box office. Will it be the new Titanic or a commercial flop. With the budget it has there's not much middle ground there. I guess in any case it'll start better in the states than in Europe thanks to the marketing efforts there. With the mixed reactions the trailers have recieved and the general lack of positive buzz it could turn out to be slow burner like Titanic assuming it generates enough good word of mouth. Avatar was for a long time touted as the most eagerly waited movie of 2009. At least until the Na'vis broke out. Not a big fan of the blue creatures either but I have to say that my personal opinion changed for a far more positive direction after I saw the trailer on the big screen. The "Smurfs" aside it appears to be a very entertaining and emotionally engaging experience. What are your thoughts? Gonna go and see it?

Everyone seems to be judging it on the way it looks, Cameron is a master when it comes to telling a great story through a movie n I'm sure Avatar will be an EPIC film.

I guess you're referring to this...
Avatar Clip - Thanador Chase

It's all well made but the use of colors (bright and saturated) underlines the fact that it's all CGI.

The jokes are pouring in...
James Cameron was bitten by a piranha on the set of Piranha II: The Spawning. After a week of excruciating pain, the piranha died.
Contrary to popular belief, the statue given out at the Academy Awards is known as the Cameron.
All films made before the year 1981 are dated on a descending scale by year and designated B.C. for "Before Cameron."
On the set of The Abyss, James Cameron didn't get wet. Water got James Cameron.
James Cameron's CGI doesn't simulate reality. Reality simulates James Cameron's CGI.
