You obviously didn't get that Shosanna was also a Basterd. There are 3 main characters in this film; Shosanna, Aldo Raine and Hans Landa. But on the same breath they're all 3 supporting characters too. Sure, Brad Pitt is top billed but that's cause he's well famous. And didn't you get that all 3 main characters are the Inglourious Basterds? They're all on the same side so to speak, including Hans Landa at the end. Also Tarantino originally was gonna name the film "Once upon a time..In Nazi-occupied France" but instead Named it as it is.
Yeah i can see that. But it was still a disappointment for my taste. I was hoping for a more raw story and some more action. I know thats not something that Tarantino is known for. But i was still hoping. And the trailer looked good too.
It was a good solid movie. But no masterpiece. The whole Shosanna and the soldier was a little to much cliche i think. Like a romantic drama or something like that. Kill Bill was made by Tarantino, for Tarantino. And this time.. i feel like Shosanna was a new Uma-look-alike for Tarantimo to jerk off to.

Actually it wasn't that bad if you disengage your brain and just enjoy the big explosions. You don't go to see a movie like that if you're expecting Shakespeare.
I enjoyed it even with the stupid plot devices and over done CGI, and at least it was better than ID4. And Woody Harrelson was good.
Also just watched Innerspace with Dennis Quaid.
