it was hard to sopt anything but you could see fassbender at the end looking at his finger,a crazy dust storm coming straight at a astronaut.a guy being sucked into the shadows,charlize theron running through a corridor,some scans being performed on a woman,astronauts with flamethrowers retreating from something black and some creepy shot of something like a alien head or something.

notice the giant head from the leaked screens.it's freaking human.shame really.i was expecting the space jockeys to be more alien(not xenomorph) like.like the big skeleton found.oh well

If the the meaning of the head was that straightforward I doubt they had shown it yet.

Oh no man, ridley hinted that the space jockey thing we saw in alien was just a suit. That the thing inside it looked like something else. And then the recent rumours before this pictures and screens surfaced said that it's possible the space jockey is really a giant human like being and that it created the human race in it's form. That's why i'm dissapointed. Because it kinda confirms that. I was really hoping the space jockey looked exactly like the one in alien. For now i am sad, but it's still possible we could be wrong so....

Um... you do not think you're perhaps jumping into a premature conclusions based on a few photos? The Prometheus footage shown at Comic-Con received unanimous praise.

and giger was asked to work on something for the film but it's secret on what exactly he did. there's a lot of anticipation and great great expectations from this movie especially after all this rumours that the film is gnna be epic in scope and all the little tibits that leaked. in the end i just want a cohesive movie,one that really fits in that universe and doesn't twist elements of the first one just to make a ,,cool'' new story. my biggest fear is the nature of the space jockey,how it will look.

i was thinking hollywood hasn't made a sci fi movie like this in a long time. i don't recall any hard movie in the last8 years say.the matrix was porbably the last cool big budget sci-fi and that one was a action movie.no space,epic,horror,thriller,mindbending stuff

Ditto. The word from those who saw the Prometheus footage at Comic-Con was that visually it looked very much like the original Alien. That it fit that universe perfectly. Based on the EW photos it looks to me that Ridley has thrown a small bit of Blade Runner in the Alien mix. Of course you can also see Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey in the photos but that was a film that already inspired the first Alien to great degree. But then the set photos can often be misleading. The colours in the actual film could be very different looking and in all likelyhood are at least more muted. The colours in the pics/scans are clearly oversaturated and distorted.

they aren't stills from the movie,except one.2 of them look like poses specially for promotion purposes.done in normal conditions on the set.the colours in the movie will be graded and muted.ridley said because they are filming in 3d they need to film it with bright lights on the set.then they will add all the grades and colour filtering in post production to match the feel of the first one.

i think this is the only real still from the movie.also it's a different angle for this still from the comic con footage

Well, that was what I was saying. That set photos are usually misleading and in this case obviously so.

This is so far the only high quality screen released of the movie and as such is the best example of the movie's look for now.

the guy who filed this said he was part of a test group who see different versions of trailer before they get out.it seems they were testing this trailer promoting it like a action movie.but he said december.
also the new batman gets the trailer in december and i think it's released about the same time as prometheus so that's possibly the safe bet.

the trailer will hopefully put things into perspective cause these pictures don't give up anything except the head and some bad photoshop

You are right, but I'm little bit worried!!! There is few of some stupit ideas/rumors. Like Jockeys are big humans, ancient creators of human race... WTF. Or, Aliens are their military genetic project and they using ships as bombers with eggs to attack planets.... soooo stupid.

Holywood already fuck up half of stuff with Alien 4, and speciall with AvP ideas. Even James Cameroon don't want any more business with franchise any more.



An yes, few months ago I watched one interview with Gigger, and he said that he recived german translated script of the final movie, and that he is asked to draw/paint some of his ideas/visions.
