Spring breakers

it may feel like total bullshitt at first. at the same time it holds some cool visuals (not only tits) and pretty surprising storyline. rreccomend

Lockout (2012)

Not perfect but still a very enjoyable solid space actioner starring Guy 'The Reason to See This' Pearce.

Such a bad movie. The FX were especially low budget. I was wondering why did Guy Pearce did this one.

Well, compared to the piece of shit 'Total Recall' remake it's a minor masterpiece. And like I said, it's Pearce who's the reason to watch it. And the FXs are fine once the story jumps to space.

C'mon, can't compare Total Recall which is a good production to this piece of crap.

Total Recall was useless but the designs were quite good.

Sure I can. The 'Total Recall' remake had a way bigger budget than 'Lockout' and it of course shows in the scale of the production, the quality of effects, the set pieces and all things visual. And some useless camera gimmicks aside it certainly doesn't look bad. All of it's borrowed though, and very blatantly so, from far better films like 'Blade Runner', 'Minority Report, and so on. Colin Farrell's talent is left completely underused, while the director's – mediocre action hack Len Wiseman (Underworld 1-2, Live Free or Die Hard) – wife Kate Beckinsale's character is way, way, too one dimensional and just completely over the top crazy bitch. 'Lockout' is a smaller production with a limited budget but unlike the sterile, soulless, replica(nt) 'Total Recall' it has a living beating human heart and better beefier characters.
