Post subject: | Alien Anthology Blu-Ray Box-Set |
Are you ready for one of the best Blu-Ray releases ever ? On Blu-Ray , HD can make you scream I've waited so long for this... finally. It's out 26th Oct. The U.K will get it on the 25th of Oct. and Australia 3rd of Nov I just copied the article from IGN to keep you bothered. According to Fox, the four Alien films have been "reinvigorated for an intense Blu-ray high-definition viewing experience." It will take advantage of Blu-ray technology by incorporating the MU-TH-UR Mode, an interactive feature that lets you access the special features on all six discs and provides an index of all available content. And what does that content include? About 60 hours of special features and over 12,000 images, including material from the legendary early '90s LaserDisc release, the "Legacy" release and, of course, the Quadrilogy. There will also be new, previously unreleased content, such as original screen tests of Sigourney Weaver prior to filming the original Alien, unseen deleted scenes, the previously unseen original cut of "Wreckage and Rage: The Making of Alien3" and more. The Alien Anthology will be available for a suggested retail price of $139.99 U.S. Note : The Limited Edition is the Egg containing the Boxset, the Boxset is also sold seperately. They had artwork for the last couple of months containing the egg but nothing was confirmed until now, it looks fucking bad-ass. @ stonehigh the avp movies don't have anything in common with the alien saga story except for the creature itself. this saga stands as its own. |

The Weyland Company and "Bishop" are taken straight from the Alien movies. But yeah, besides that there's nothing else. I don't think of the AvP movies as part of the Alien saga. Neither does Segourney Weaver, I read somewhere that she hates those movies. I really don't even like those movies but I love those franchises on their own. I hope the new Predators movie kicks ass. I'll be getting this boxset for sure. I haven't bought any of the older Alien boxsets so this will be good for me. |

I knew you'd bring up Weyland Yutani if you had the chance , and fuck you did But agree with me about that , it's a poorly attempt to blend the sagas together , hell , it's the only fucking way to implant the Aliens in the story. The whole movie is a poor attempt anyway. If you have read the AVP comics from the early 90's you know you can do a good story about AVP. Ridley is even going to make you forget about AVP even more. And thank god for that. The franchises belong in the right hands now. And Alien VS Predator 3 is near unspeakable to me. But David Twohy , Vincent Warden and James Cameron are potential fuck-up fixers, although I know the last two won't even bother. There has been a petition around for some time now about David Twohy taking the steer on the rumoured AVP3 , and the only way to make this HEAVILY rumoured movie interesting to the people is to not fuck it up. David would get it fucking done ! GET THOSE ALIENS AND PREDATORS OFF EARTH, AND BRING THEM SOME FUCKING COLONIAL MARINES TO JOIN THE DINNER , NUFF SAID The only way to make a AVP movie interesting is to look further into the Predator universe , I'm fucking serious. They have such a background story... the comic nerds know. |

Fuck another AVP movie, they've fucked their chances of making a good crossover movie n done nothing but fuck up the classic originals, hopefully Ridley Scott will steer the Alien franchise back in the right direction... ...Roll on Alien 5! Sweet Bluray boxset btw |

Yeah Stasz I agree totally with everything u said. I only know a little about the comics and have played the hell outta the AvP arcade beat em up made by Capcom. When I heard the first movie was getting made I had high hopes. oh well, I've given up on the whole lot now. I'm just looking forward to the new standalone movies. |
