Hey Tanner, i see you read filmweb.pl news:). Yeap Rodriguez will no be director of this one. And i'm thinks thats better. He is doing a great movies besides those spy kids ones, but Predator is not kind of movie for him. He likes to do a bloodfull, gore, and not so serious movies with some black sense of humour. Predator is definetly not such a kind of cinema. I would like to see Paul Verhouven, maybe James Cameron, but not Rodriguez. I like him a lot, and love his movies, but as i said he isnt that type of man for this job.

Anyway, John McTiernan did awesome job with predator...so it will be difficult for anyone to make a better or even equal one.

Development

The film was written by Robert Rodriguez, Alex Litvak and Michael Finch. A projected release date for the film is set at July 7, 2010. Adrien Brody plays a man who ends up inheriting the mantle of leader and is known as a hunter of humans. Topher Grace would play an accountant-type whose unassuming facade masks a dangerous serial killer, Alice Braga plays a tough female killer. Mahershalalhashbaz Ali potrayed a man not afraid to die, Walton Goggins presents an loose canon of the group and Oleg Taktarov is a former Russian special ops agent and Danny Trejo plays Cuchillo the hardened warrior with twin uzis. Rodriguez stated that he would like to get Arnold Schwarzenegger in for a cameo role as an aged Dutch Schaeffer.[6]

Tom Woodruff Jr. and Alec Gillis, head of special effects studio Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc, also known as "ADI", who previously worked on 2004's Alien vs. Predator and 2007's Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem are stated not to be in charge of the creature design for the film.
