Anyone saw? Anyone like?
I've read all three books of the Millenium Trilogy and I loved them, except for some silly parts, like Lisbeth being shot in the head, buried alive and still survives... okay shit part, but the story is great. The film is nowhere near the book but I still liked that too, even bought it.
So, thoughts?

there is remake in progress, directed by david fincher (on of my fav directors, he was responsible for 'se7en', 'fight club' and the most recently 'the social network') with david craig and mara rooney.

i've read whole trilogy over just one weekend last month, one of the best ones i've read in long time. and yeah, i agree that there are some ridiculously stupid moments but overall it was really nice piece of reading.

You think the mediocre made for TV versions of the books are better than a movie version of the first book directed by David Fincher (Fight Club, Se7en, Panic Room, Zodiac, The Social Network) that you haven't even seen yet?

why? you think that will be something different just because is directed by Fincher? the last one, Facebook is shit in my opinion. the first chapter is way too long to put it in 2h30m movie. will have also chapters missing, like the first one.

For sure I'm waiting for something different and exactly because David Fincher is directing. You can already see from the teaser that it's very different. Of course book is a book and movie is a movie but Fincher if anyone can do justice to the book. And whether you personally like The Social Network or not doesn't change the fact that the movie is a masterpiece. You know shit doesn't get 100% Fresh Certified by the Top Critics on Rotten Tomatoes. But that said you are of course entitled to your opinion.

I've known about the books.
Then I figured out they all got adapted into movies while I was reading the Noomi Rapace rumours for Prometheus.

But when I heard David Fincher was adapting the first book as well I decided to check out zip. Nothing . Nada.

So for me this is all new and I love this teaser.

Now waiting for the trailer.

EDIT:

The Social Network owns guys :P

Woow! Love this track, specially the sample at 0:24. Searching for it for long time, and finally i know what is it. Many times I heard some elecronic covers of it in various clubs.

Btw, is Flint's/Prodigy's Razor using samples/inspiration from this one?

I watched original movies made in Sweden and they were natural, raw and very exciting.

Even if it's David Fincher, one of my favourite directors is doing it. I ask, is it really necessary to remake it!??

I get that some people earn a lot of money from it.

And huge amount of people who haven't even heard of the trilogy and original movies get a awesome experience.
I say fuck them, if average ticket buyer can't digest original, cold Scandinavian look and spirit then it's not necessary to Hollywoodize for them.

It's just.. as much i trust David Fincher, watching this trailer with fuckin James Bond doing he's mooves, i'm afraid this movie will loose natural feeling what original pieces delivered.

David Fincher NOT remaking the Scandinavian made-for-TV movies. Fincher is adapting the Stieg Larsson book. It is Fincher vision.

And with David Fincher the experience will of course be colder, rawer, more original and more inspired than that of the Swedish versions.

Daniel Graig is not just Bond. He's a brilliant actor. Fincher knows his casting.
