A Christian version of computer game 'Guitar Hero' is set to be launched in the US.

Called 'Guitar Praise' - and not affiliated with the official game - the PC/Mac game allows players to jam along Christian rock bands rather than the usual array of mainstream acts.

"Grab the guitar and play along with top Christian bands! Shred those riffs or blast the bass…you add a unique sound to the solid Christian rock," declares the blurb on Digitalpraise.com. "you'll soon be rockin' with the best while praising the Lord!"

The game is set to retail for around $99 from September and a list of songs included can be found at Digitalpraise.com.

You gotta be having a [/laugh]

TBH, I never really got the idea of Christian rock. Surely the whole theory behind rock music was about not following anyone else's rules, being a hellraiser and 'sticking it to the man' (according to School of Rock, anyway ;))

Saying that, Stryper are awesome. Well, at least their pants are:
