hi there i hate opening help topics on the video games subject because most my problems are simple to fix and i end up making an arse of myself, anyway.......
my 360 decided it can't find the internet again, my modem works fine, i'd not be talking here if it wasn't, its weird though i've got two Ethernet cables and tried both of them on the 360 and it wont connect, people been asking why i've not been on well this is the reason including the fact i havn't got more live months left.
i've tried the reconnection trick in several different ways, it refuses to connect up, it can't get past the network bar so its not xbox live thats doing it.
weird tho because my wii is having the same troubles aswell, its not just the xbox but it always starts with the xbox, it does and has worked before perfectly, just i want to know if theres anyway to find out why this is screwing up instead of what i can do about it, if i knew the problem i'd be able to fix it myself, some kind of mad status report on my modem would be handy to see what exatcly the ports are doing.
thank you and sorry for opening another help topic !

Sounds like a Router issue to me. Will Virgin allow you to use your own?
